January 23, 2014 at 17:03 #465681And what you think of Barney Curley with what happend yesterday
January 24, 2014 at 12:06 #4657231.10 Donc – So Bazaar @ 66/1 e/w
Placed off 85 two years ago & now down to 75.
Good Luck

January 24, 2014 at 20:39 #465813Gord what you think of CAMBRIDGE for the oaks won her maiden well i think BRACELET is going to be a top 3yo this year too.
And any thoughts on GRAND VISION for pertemps as you forget to reply back on that one.
SWING BOWLER i like in betfair 20s danger being IRVING.
Cambridge
looks like a filly who will improve, half sister to the useful
Dux Scholar
,I can see her being a ‘Ribblesdale’ sort even though she’s not really bred for that trip.
Bracelet
on the other hand doesn’t strike me as a filly who wants a trip,I see she’s in the 1000gns betting at 33/1 but I’m happy with my 16/1 on
Tapestry
there mate.
Grand vision
looks like hurdling is his forte but I cant see him winning at Cheltenham myself.
Swing bowler
,lightly raced sort but was put in his place last year by a ‘Champion’ in the Betfair hurdle and not for me,mind you neither is
Irving
!
January 24, 2014 at 21:03 #465817Tomorrow sees the return of a Champion staying hurdler, blundering at the last fence of the 2008 Hennessey was the last time this horse got beat, thats 6 years ago!!
Who in their right mind would want to lay the Champ tomorrow then??………..Erm that would be me,the legendary King of Layers.Big Bucks
goes for his 19th consecutive win in the Cleeve hurdle and you can bet your bottom dollar he’s fit enough to maintain that run, connections dont want to break a sequence like that, trouble is though he’s going to have to be right back to his best to beat 3 very useful and progressive ‘World hurdle’ sorts in
Reve de Sivola
,he is the benchmark as to judging ‘Bucksy’ as the champ has laughed at Nick williams slightly enigmatic character in the past.I dont think he’ll canter past him tomorrow though.
At Fishers Cross
needs to show just why I rate him so highly in conditions that should suit, nows the time to take the 14/1 for World glory.
Boston bob
makes up the 3rd Musketeer who will lay it down to Paul Nicholls 11yo.At evens to lay I’m putting my huge reputation on the line in order to maintain my own 100% record of Lays, trouble is this could be my unlucky 13th Lay and having already stated he’s my Lay of the festival I might just be pushing my luck…..Gut feelings and that!
Harry Toppers
my banker tomorrow at 13/2 and
Time for Rupert
at Doncaster at 16/1.
January 25, 2014 at 13:29 #465950Today will see a mixture of Heavy ground and the handicapper catching up with the fav
Double Ross
in Cheltenhams 1,50pm so 3/1 does not appeal. However 7/1 about a horse who loves the ground and has gone the opposite way down the Handicap ladder compared to the Fav is
Tap Night
, Lucinda doesn’t send them on a 950 mile round trip for nothing and this fellows form through the very highly regarded
Captain conan
makes him a serious player in this,AP knows he’s a sketchy jumper but patience, patience and more patience should see him prevail today.
Edit, The Fav
Double ross
ran better than I thought and confirms form with the somewhat over patient
Tap night
but bloody
Wishful Thinking
a horse I’ve bought touches 44’s in running and I never pressed play!!
January 25, 2014 at 14:18 #465954There’s no way I was going to Lay this wonder mare
Annie Power
today but I was hoping
Cockney Sparrow
was going to finish a 5 length second, that was never going to happen and she is a Champion hurdler aswell as a World hurdler, few you can say that about.
January 25, 2014 at 14:38 #465956Harry Topper
ran an eye catching race there, shame his jumping was sluggish to put it mildly but to give 10lb to the winner is no mean feat, his Gold cup run against ‘Synchronised’ reads well.’Harry’ does look the sort who needs plenty cut though and on faster ground in March wont live with
First Lieutenant
. Good race todays though.
January 25, 2014 at 15:08 #465961Very good horse this
Red sherlock
,looked all over the winner from 2 out to me and yet he traded 4.3 at that point, even going to the last
Rathvinden
was shorter incredibly.Thats why betting in running is what its all about.
January 25, 2014 at 15:17 #465962The skybet Chase at Doncaster has 2 class horses,
Unioniste
and the real
Time for Rupert
and there’s a false start! Not what we want.I’m playing the Nicholls horse in running and having backed ‘Time for Rupert’ at 25’s down I can Lay to suit a profit.
January 25, 2014 at 15:26 #465963Its alright Nick and Graeme praising the first 2 home in the skybet but nothing showed more guts than
Unioniste
and those who took the 14’s and 10’s to be placed will toast the greys efforts.
January 25, 2014 at 15:29 #465964Here we go here we go here we go…..Race of the day,the return of the Champion staying hurdler
Big bucks
.Hats off to him if he can break my 100% Lay record but I have 3 serious players running for me and if I nail my colours to one mast its got to be one of my bankers from last year,
At fishers cross
,he did the business,
Boston Bob
should have done!!
January 25, 2014 at 15:52 #465968Big Bucks
is a legend! He ran his heart out there,he traded at 1.23 at his lowest but was run out of it by noneother than a horse who has been around forever in
Knockara Beau
.Incredible! My horse ran the race I wanted/expected and like I said earlier the 14/1 had to be taken last night about
At Fishers Cross
for the World hurdle.TAPK respects legends like himself. I tilt my crown again to ‘Big Bucks’.Brilliant race!
January 26, 2014 at 16:21 #466139A new name for your boat Gord.
‘The Laying King’
King layer of all beast, man, woman and horse……Blackbeard to conquer the World
January 26, 2014 at 18:50 #466147A new name for your boat Gord.
‘The Laying King’
King layer of all beast, man, woman and horse……Nath, you know me,naturally a shy modest individual but I have been known to Lay a man flat out with a sonkal taerigi,I’ve laid the odd Lady, the ocassional Woman and I once made the all too common error of laying a Thai Ladyboy! I once pulled a ‘Panda’ at a Nightclub, well thats what it looked like in the morning.Never Shagged a Beast though Mate.
What gives me multi legendary status Nath is my ability to write incredibly accurate prophecies,my Foresight for seeing a young horse develop and pinpointing its target race and of course my secret ability at Laying what some see as certaintys who trade at 1/5 in running. This thread was always about a ‘Different approach’ from its inception and thats exactly what its showing.
Yesterday bothBig bucks
and
Annie Power
were always going to trade short in running but one has a legendary status behind him but is 11yo and has been injured and was running for the first time on ground that was going to bottom him,the other has a legendary status in waiting was as fit as a flea and had no competition.Pretty obvious to me which was the better Lay!
February 1, 2014 at 12:36 #466771Its one of those make or break days for TAPK today,my first Ante-Post bet for this years Cheltenham festival was struck a year ago on
My Tent or Yours
being a Champion hurdler,my 2nd bet was on
Shutthefrontdoor
being an RSA horse at 75’s on the machine some 10 months ago he’s let me down since but to see AP going to Wetherby today tells me he’s back,he needs to be!If he doesn’t beat Lucindas excellent yardstick ‘Green Flag’ its the National hunt chase over 4m for my fellow……..Keep the faith!
Shutthefrontdoor
£50 e/w 33/1 RSA, Boylesports.
February 1, 2014 at 14:25 #466784Sandowns a course that needs to be jumped and I’ve never been a fan of
Oscar whiskeys
jumping,at 2/11 he’d be worth laying, trouble is I dont see an opponent to trouble him if he does blunder his way round, had my fellow
Taquin de seul
been in the race I’d definitely expect victory today.
Edit, Oh dear! As poor a round of jumping I’ve seen from ‘Oscar’ there and like I said had he an opponent it would have been curtains……Queue excuses Mr Henderson.
