    Dean Ivory trained the first (ridden by Jefferson Smith) and second (ridden by Jimmy Quinn). Smith noticeably eased down on the winner a fair way from the post despite not being that far ahead of the runner up.

    Maybe I need to see it again but Quinn did not look very animated in the saddle on the second.
