Tickets + parking at Santa Anita are free on non-holiday weekdays and $5 (infield) or $10 (any non-reserved seats) on weekends, obviously more than that for the Breeders Cup. Most smaller tracks have free admission all the time (plus a dollar for a race program) and they’ll often have a barbeque fired up on the track apron with reasonably priced burgers and hot dogs. Best value in spectator sports IMO.
November 7, 2023 at 10:23 #1669672What access would that ticket have granted you at Wetherby? I went to the paddock enclosure with my dad and it was £21 per head (purchased in advance), which I didn’t think was too bad, compared to Aintree this Saturday charging £30 for the privilege.
November 8, 2023 at 16:25 #1669769£30 for Aintree on Saturday on a invades student day…no thanks!
November 8, 2023 at 17:43 #1669772R4R works well for me, travelling for work, I treat some mates to Cheltenham for the Hunterchase Night.
But I do miss Towcester, it was free once upon a time…
and 15 min taxi away..

The price for the Arc in 2009 was around a tenner, on the day.
November 9, 2023 at 22:13 #1669869I’m £30 for Aintree too this weekend, and although on the steep side, I can get my head round it, but £36 for Wetherby was surely excessive. As Peter asks, was there additional perks involved for that £36
November 10, 2023 at 21:17 #1669963I just saw on the telly, a shot of the turnstiles showing £36 and £24, I assume it’s the stands and £24 Silver Ring
