7f surely Caledonians minimum distance and he’ll prefer ease in ground so Wiltshire Lad @ 6/4 W/F looks fair enough. May be lack of class that thwarts him but it won’t be gameness

Decent effort but couldn’t impose himself at finish – a Chester type alright
August 19, 2024 at 21:51 #1704971Yarmouth 5.40 TRF Stewards Enquiry!
Did winning Favourite Back in Black barge into the back of Wiltshire Lad approaching the 2f mark causing him to become unbalanced? And do the RP comments correctly describe the incident? Was the favourite really impeded?
August 26, 2024 at 13:57 #1705887Odds-on Huscal you would think needs 7f already
He doesn’t look too big and should be able to handle the opposition here as well as Ripon. Suppose a 6f 2 yo win would look good on his CV!August 29, 2024 at 16:19 #17060185f around Ponty should have sharpened up Glamour Show and with Buick onboard we’ll surely get a run for our 5/2 jolly
But all depends what if anything comes out of the woodwork!August 29, 2024 at 17:01 #1706020Will need to look back on that one again later!
Saariselka 7/4 had a tough baptism FTO
Just a hunch she may turn the favourite over in the match shortlyAugust 30, 2024 at 14:52 #1706060Marginal call and only only because they probably know what he is more so than his opponents. Hard to fancy Qutaifan on his run
So it’s Tycoon!

Best horse finished third
September 3, 2024 at 15:08 #1706332Reckon fav Spherical may need to make all to maximise her chances shortly. Not sure she will pull it off so taking a chance on Pearl of Wind 7/4 prevailing. Nmk July debut may stand to her here. Over Spiced may be bigger threat!
September 5, 2024 at 18:02 #1706394Bolo pretty friendless after his break but was up against a decent type in both his runs. Should comfortably get 6 so has to be a bit of value anyway at 9/4 if the Fav doesn’t quite get home on the soft

Fav threw it away when too free at start
September 7, 2024 at 14:08 #1706585Has to be a decent chance ground will suit gelding with big entries Law of Design 7/2. Angel Hunter deserved Fav on Haydock show but carries penalty.
September 8, 2024 at 12:54 #1706659The only thing that can beat what looks like a “Shah thing” is class which isn’t often obvious to me from the bare form pages. His last outing was also just a two horse race but surely with Marquand on board stamina can be made to count. I’d like to see him attempt to make all. Still only a novice stakes so 2 pts

That rock solid market support for winner was well justified- that class I mentioned
September 13, 2024 at 15:51 #1706884Time to give it back!
Grey dream believer beats magic mild Home in the rearranged Dick Poole @ 4/6
Latter may be a little out of her class

You’d think Lee would have enough experience now at home and in France to know how to avoid being caught in an inside rail pocket
September 17, 2024 at 15:01 #1707959Al Misbar may prefer a bit more give so money for Jolly Midnight Thunder probably justified
September 18, 2024 at 14:00 #1707997In todays match at Sandown 2.20 I’ll take Prince of the Seas to prevail against his gelding opponent on stamina suspicions
September 21, 2024 at 13:03 #1708204Will need to be a canny even ride on Sea to Sky from Hector in the opener at HQs to land 8/11 favouritism, needs to be wary of a speed threat as much as stamina threat! Might just get the balance right, Luke-warm confidence at best!
September 23, 2024 at 14:56 #1708326Interesting little 6f listed race at Fairyhouse this evening. Odds compilers may be taking a certain amount on trust installing Easy Mover and One Smack Mac as favourites. Bound to be a gamble in this one!
I’ll take the next two Rebel Diamond 100/30 and English Raider Vingegaard 7/2 to possibly handle the presumably fast good ground and that awkward turn best.
September 24, 2024 at 14:17 #1708349Decided to join DBMc in the Drivers Seat Fav (5/4) this afternoon around that tight little Cartmelesque circuit in the “Kingdom.” Worth a 1pt punt to keep the lucky streak going!
Ryan compares Listowel to Warwick after winning on 1/4 fav in first race in one to one interview on TG4. Worth a look back at on TG4 player later (Rasai Lios Tuathail – 25-30 mins into programme) for those who like to see the man in person!

More trunk ride than Drivers Seat experience that
September 25, 2024 at 14:38 #1708423Not sure Caledonian has showed enough initiative to justify 7/4 Fav
Taking him on with Last Galileo and High Season
They could all do with a mile!
