Galvin is only 6.
October 14, 2020 at 23:54 #1506091I know the 7yo stat, but I’ll still be looking to bet him.
October 15, 2020 at 14:39 #1506144The trainer of easyland has said the National is his aim. Going to run at Cheltenham next month and Dec and Cheltenham in March then see how he is and go for the National. Had a little bit at 25/1.
October 15, 2020 at 19:50 #1506164Yes, one to keep an eye on. Don’t usually like 7 year olds but he may be an exception to be in the mix.
October 15, 2020 at 21:02 #1506176Mike in all statistic there are exceptions and as you say he could be one.
October 18, 2020 at 14:35 #1506622Galvin is entered in the 3m Novice Chase at Cheltenham on Friday
October 18, 2020 at 15:08 #1506629Not surprised. He has to run over 3 miles (or close to it) somewhere to qualify for the NH Chase. He ain’t qualified yet.
October 25, 2020 at 22:28 #1507369Venture, I see you’re keen on Milan Native here. I quite like the thought of him too + I was considering an early bet. I see he is running tomorrow, it’ll be interesting to see how he fares against Minella Indo tomorrow.
The other two horses that I like just now are Potters Corner 40-1 + Mister Malarky 66-1. I think that the price for Mister Malarky is very appealing. Greenasgrass, do you still like him for this?
October 26, 2020 at 00:07 #1507374Yeah mate, I really like him. Not overly impressive first time out, but he got the job done. His win in The Kim Muir is worth a second look. The way he travelled, and the manner he won, suggested a lot more to come.
I think he can easily step out of Handicaps, so no surprise if he gives Indo a fright tomorrow. If that is the case, then he’ll probably be high enough for this.
Either way, the current 40’s is very big.
October 26, 2020 at 06:35 #1507383Hoping Milan Native gets comfortably beat today by MI. A rating hike wont help.
November 4, 2020 at 14:37 #1509097I was a bit concerned with the market on the exchange’s for Any Second Now, I suspected all not well, but good to see him entered up in The Lismullen Hurdle at Navan.
Hopeful of a good early season spin.
November 13, 2020 at 20:20 #1510573Thought that was a great run from Potters Corner today.
I know a few good mentions for him already, but I’m amazed the 33’s held.
If I wasn’t strictly sticking with one before the entries are out, I’d probably have a few quid his way.
November 13, 2020 at 22:49 #1510594I agree, a terrific run from Potter’s Corner and I’m going to have a very early go on the 33’s remaining.
The only other one I’d be tempted to bet at this time is Walk In The Mill. 50/1 won’t be around for long if he puts in another good run in the Becher.
November 14, 2020 at 10:45 #1510630Yesterday Easysland was beaten 2 lengths giving Potters Corner 21 pounds. As it stands, if they were to meet in the National Easysland would get a 20 pound weight turnaround for a 2 length beating.
November 14, 2020 at 11:07 #1510633Easysland clouted the Aintree fence both times yesterday
And generally jumped poorly
And would have to carry a huge weight
Not for me at this stage
November 14, 2020 at 11:22 #1510634His weight wont be that huge at the moment. His chase rating is 152, Potters Corner 151. The Cross Country ratings are different, that’s where the big weight differential comes in at handicap level. Potters Corner has no chance against Easysland if the handicapper gives them their current chase mark and they both had a clear, clean round. Weights day will be interesting.
November 15, 2020 at 09:41 #1510751A clear clean round has got to be a massive if though surely? I’d need more than 33s to be interested in finding out that’s for sure.
