Or Kimberlite Candy. 155 for beating Captain Chaos at Warwick.
April 11, 2021 at 09:23 #1535818A fabulous Grand National I thought with the obvious exception of The Long Mile. It looked like a misstep a few strides after Bechers.
I couldn’t believe the race Cabaret Queen was running. I can’t remember the last time I was so pleased with a losing horse’s performance.
Agree with what’s been said about Blaklion too. Great to see him run his race again and as stated proof of what British horses can do when given a chance by the handicapper.
The one I’ll be taking out of this with a view to next year is Chris’s Dream. I was tossing and turning over whether to bet him for weeks and I couldn’t believe how well he was going before unseating four out. Another year to get his mark down could see him to good effect.
There’s nothing more to add with regards to the winning combination. As stated it’s just great for racing and sport in general.
Long live the Grand National!

April 11, 2021 at 23:13 #1535955Another unfortunate statistic for British-trained horses was that all five of the fallers in yesterday’s race were British-trained.
Am sure that the jockeys are rightly encouraged to pull up exhausted horses more than used to be the case, but the recent softening of the fences doesn’t seem to have increased the number of finishers. I was surprised there were only 15 this year, and have to wonder if 1984’s record of 23 will ever be beaten now.
April 12, 2021 at 19:35 #1536065Just an aside to the tiger roll saga is it just me but I think he would have scooted up in the National. Has his ground and would have outjumped them. Just a pity it’s owner is such a narcissistic twat. Opinions eh.
April 12, 2021 at 19:50 #1536067Id guess softer fences means they go a bit quicker marlingford
Less fallers but more pulled up
Thats a lazy assumption though
