Minella Rocco going the hurdle warm-up route at Exeter today in a Pertemps qualifier. Run well and I will find it hard to resist him in April.
February 22, 2019 at 17:59 #1398748A bit of promise in that run QF, certainly cut for The Ultima off the back of it.
February 23, 2019 at 16:54 #1398937taken some 20s on Rathvinden after today. Probably backed too many for the race now. May have to trim nearer the time.
February 25, 2019 at 09:58 #1399058I might rue the day I abandoned Rathvinden! All the same though, I just can’t have a runner whose National prep has started so late.
February 25, 2019 at 13:16 #1399071I can’t believe I’m so out of touch that I haven’t even looked at the weights yet. But I do know I backed Abolitionist, Rathvinden and a few others ages ago [Missed Approach, Traffic Fluide, Ballyoptic]….
February 26, 2019 at 19:36 #1399154Missed Approach misses the National due to injury.
February 27, 2019 at 00:16 #1399169Just heard; damn….
February 27, 2019 at 11:46 #1399184Shame, thought he had a real chance, other scratchings…..

BallyarthurFebruary 27, 2019 at 13:42 #1399190Just noticed that Blaklion has been transferred to Phil Kirby and stands his ground in the National but probably misses Cheltenham.
February 27, 2019 at 14:13 #1399192Lieutenant Colonel and Skipthecuddles were not qualified.
What’s that about?
February 27, 2019 at 14:34 #1399193Lieutenant Colonel hasn’t placed 4th or better over fences at 3m+.
Skipthecuddles has only run in 2 chases not the minimum 3.
March 1, 2019 at 14:18 #1399397TIGER ROLL 11/1 , VINTAGE CLOUDS 25/1 ew both nrnb
March 2, 2019 at 13:07 #1399524Will be keeping an eye on how one of my picks Abolitionist gets on today in his prep.
March 2, 2019 at 14:22 #1399530weak finish. maybe he needed it dunno. but cashed him out anyway.
March 2, 2019 at 14:49 #1399534That’s just about the least enthusiastic I’ve seen The Last Samuri run. I’ve not backed him
for the National, but if I had I’d be a bit concerned. He didn’t want to get involved almost
from the start. Disappointing. Also, along with Moe and VTC, bit gutted Missed Approach wont make it. He was an ante post of
mine, which just leaves me Traffic Fluide.March 2, 2019 at 20:41 #1399564One For Arthur was withdrawn at Kelso today because the ground was not soft enough and now goes direct to Aintree. His performances this season do not inspire confidence, but I hope Lucinda Russell can turn things around.
March 2, 2019 at 20:50 #1399565At least he’ll be a fat price, Rob. I have not lost faith in him.
I’ve just added Singlefarmpayment at 50s NRNB – twice the price he should be in my book after 2 cracking runs this season. This could be exactly what he needs.
