September 29, 2018 at 16:33 #1376053Cake for Raymo
Well done everyone with place money too
September 29, 2018 at 16:52 #1376054Thanks GaG
Ran like the proverbial group horse in a handicap in the end!!
September 29, 2018 at 17:06 #1376056WEll done Raymo, I just happened to pick the wrong Gosden 3yr old
September 29, 2018 at 23:22 #1376061Well done Raymo great pick, he wasn’t too keen going to post but came home like a bullet.
Just scraped 5th place with UAE Prince 20/1 on Paddy Power but only 1/5th odds. All horses who ran down the stands side had no chance and never seen such a happy bunch of bookies leaving the course tonight.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 30, 2018 at 02:49 #1376062Well done with the place on UAE Jac, and I hope you managed to bag a winner or two at the meeting
You were so right about the stand side, I knew my fate with my pair Stylehunter and Third Time Lucky by
halfway, when anything that stayed down the stand side was playing catch up more or less from the off.
I suppose that being drawn 31 and 32 they didn’t have much of an option
Not to worry, I’m bound to get it all back at the Cesarewitch in a fortnight, it being such an easy
race to dig out the winner with only 34 hopefuls
September 30, 2018 at 15:19 #1376087The second and third were both drawn in the twenties guys but both jockeys had the sense to go central unlike certain jockeys I could mention. James Doyle and Gerald Mosse should both know better !!
I scraped a place with Sharja Bridge as well finished seventh
September 30, 2018 at 15:20 #1376088Oh yes and credit to the boss too!! She backed Sabador e/w at 40/1 too!!
We love this race in our house!!
September 30, 2018 at 20:25 #1376101Winner had a stone in hand. Group horse and then some.
September 30, 2018 at 23:45 #1376112Agree Raymo was really surprised that experienced jockeys like Mr. Mosse and Mr. Doyle took that route
It looked to me like quite a bit of watering had gone on the night before the way the ground was cutting up.The last 14 horses home were all eased and the favourite Kenya trailed in last of all. Felt particularly sorry for all the punters who lumped on Kenya for the Cambridgeshire after the O’Brien bandwagon had rolled into town and scooped up all the top races of the day (and most of the places) and left the building, it was like daylight robbery.
but Ten Sovereigns was magnificent.Well done Mrs Raymo with Sabador placing at 40/1

Rotten luck Graham to have two horses in that standside group, Stylehunter ran a good race considering.
Roll on the Cesarewitch
