Thought I had stolen a march with the 25’s guys, amazed he was still at that price tonight. Good luck :good:

Buckers, I assume you mean Triolo D’Alene. I’m on the verge of doing a “mini-book” on this race, and the 100’s to 150’s on him was far too big to refuse. If he’s good to go, then he must have an outside chance, and was more than happy to risk a few quid at those prices.

Mark, he’s got a few entries over the weekend, but I feel that one of the hurdles races would give him the perfect prep for this, it’s certainly a route Henderson favoured last year with Bob’s Worth. Based on his run at Ayr in The Scottish National, then the 33’s available for him just now is ridiculous.

I need a backup now for Blaklion who was disappointing last Saturday, and there is also the chance that he could head to Haydock as well.

I like to look for a progressive type in this and I think that the 25’s for Vicente is really appealing. I hope that this is the target as I have had a few pounds on.

I have bet him for the BetVictor, and at 33-1 I will stick with him here too.

If I had a crystal ball and knew what Gigginstown horses would show up, I would like to risk Roi Des Francs at 40-1 with Bet365 and the same bet with Wounded Warrior.

Yes Venture, it was Triolo D’Alene I forgot to add. I like those odds you got, beats my 33’s, so I may hbe a bit myself.

Yes agreed Venture, I added him at 110’s for an extra few pounds to go along with the 33-1 and now just to hope he can make it there.

Vyta Du Roc is my other fancy for the race.

He was entered in two chases and needed a good performance ( preferably a win ) in either to ensure he made the cut. Looks unlikely now.

I don’t get what Henderson is doing with his handicappers any more. Just lets Nicholls mop up prize money whilst his horses stay in their boxes or win less valuable races off levels

Nothing in at the weekend where even Venetia has a couple of runners.

Yeah Mark, he’s always risky I suppose, and though I’ve got a financial interest in a couple of his here, I do tend to prefer to follow his handicappers in the spring.

Only a fortnight away now, and really looking forward to this.

So far with the books, I have my main hope….

O’Faolains Boy ew 50’s, along with

    Native River win 16’s
    Saphir Du Rheu ew 25’s

On the exchanges, being building a “mini book” with the following

    O’Faolains Boy 55’s
Saphir Du Rheu 26’s to 29’s
Vyta Du Roc 34’s to 36’s
    Triolo D’Alene 100’s to 150’s
    Monksland 80’s to 100’s
    Wounded Warrior 120’s to 130’s
    Midnight Prayer 210’s to 250’s
    Potters Cross 120’s to 170’s
    Another Hero 380’s
    Southfield Theatre 150’s to 180’s

Hoping to get a few quid back from this, and normally do alright with these, but had a couple of horror shows along the way as well

I’ve done Native River to win this and the World Hurdle at 100/1
I can’t see it happening but will give me a bit of interest for five and a half minutes
    maybe.

I have went for Potters Cross Vtc at 66-1 and also Un Ace at the same price. They are both engaged to run thisxweekend and really need a miracle to get in at Newbury so hoping for a penalty tomorrow which might make a small difference.

Potters will struggle to get in now Kris I reckon, the race would need to cut up badly, which it rarely does.

O’faolains Boy looks thrown in on old form. Wish i was smart enough to back him when he was 50/1!

Houblon Des Obeaux is hard to turn away from, though I’m conflicted. An encouraging run is what I’m after, however a drop in the handicap is quite sorely needed to give him half a chance in the National.

Holywell wasn’t overly clever over hurdles last time, but a similar prep worked quite well for Taquin De Seuil so I’m going to keep an eye on him as another potential Jonjo plot job…
