Sorry but Sacred Act is highly unlikely to run now. He was said to have been “Stiff”
I dare say his backers will need a “Stiff” drink now. Original favourite out, new favourite out after being described as heavily backed the last few days. It’s like a Dick Francis novel plot.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 22, 2016 at 10:20 #1264280BRAVO ZOLO 16/1 Ran a great race in Lincoln and been saved for this race and Ryan Moore a early jockey booking for race
VERY TALENTED 25/1
Ran two decent races this year after quite a bit time off the course and Godolphin been picking up big handicaps think he best chance here
September 22, 2016 at 13:32 #1264287I like Very Talented as well mate as think this galloping track will suit.
best of luck.
September 22, 2016 at 17:40 #1264321Third and final dart on Educate @25’s to win.
Won the race in 2013 after being very well backed on the day of the race. This year appears to of come back to form after a couple of poor seasons, and looks to be in the best form of his life.
Beaten 6 l giving 6 lbs by Sir Isaac Newton at Royal Ascot looks solid form
Good luck all
September 22, 2016 at 18:27 #1264325As I said before plenty of deadwood are likely to stand their ground. There have been a few dual winners so not surprised to see the support for Third Time Lucky and at a bigger price Erik The Red might still have something to offer. These days it is probably best to wait for the Saturday offers rather taking early prices.
Third Time Lucky is now a ridiculous price. I am hoping punters are not silly enough to take the current price and he drifts back out on Saturday.
It’s a major relief that Hanagan isn’t on board.
September 23, 2016 at 19:31 #1264476TAPK has burnt his fingers on this already having backed ‘Sacred Act’ at 12/1 thinking I’d found the blot in the race.Typical John Gosden of course as he’s famous for it now.Anyway when my backs to the wall I come out firing all guns blazing and being the loyal supporter of a good horse I have narrowed this race down to just the 2. Spark Plug has bits of form good enough to beat ‘GM Hopkins’ who is a place certainty for me but might just find top weight a tad too much but my idea of the winner is a horse who loves to gallop in a straight line, gets plenty of cover and comes late…..Chil the Kite 40/1 to 5 places only needs to show up for this to be placed granted a smooth passage but he’s rated low enough to actually win..TAPK does like to share a 40/1 winner.

Hadn’t backed anything at the time of writing. Still waiting for the favourite to drift back out to a double figure price but my confidence is waning. It is a good jockey booking to offset the weight rise but he only won last year because he kept a straighter line than the runner up. He saw the trip out well last year but this season he has struggled to get home. He is also drawn towards the middle and might end up in no man’s land. On reflection I might decide to leave him alone.
I think the ground might be a little bit quick for Erik The Red.
Most of the fancied runners are drawn high. I have plumped for a little each-way on GM Hopkins. Other than his age he has plenty of pluses. I never have much faith in Moore but he has a decent record on this horse. These days a big weight isn’t such a handicap with the limited weight range.
I discussed Very Talented and Zhui Feng on the thread created for Very Talented’s comeback run. Both are bridle horses who I think will struggle to stay. Very Talented had the run of the race at Ascot and was flattered to finish so close to Acclaim. He found next to nothing off the bridle.
Luca Cumani is having an absolutely horrendous time. Perhaps he will rekindle the glory days? That is about the only thing I can see going for Banksea. The horse pulls much too hard and is a weak finisher. Exactly what you don’t want for a Cambridgeshire but add in the most infuriating jockey in the world and would it be the biggest surprise if we suddenly see an entirely different version of Banksea tomorrow?
September 23, 2016 at 23:20 #1264516Any love for the Elsworth horse? A lot of weight but certain to stay.
September 24, 2016 at 09:13 #1264554I have backed American Artist at 25/1, he looks well Handicapped to me.
September 24, 2016 at 11:30 #1264577I have backed American Artist at 25/1, he looks well Handicapped to me.

I think he’s in with an excellent chance atthepost. I put up a bit about him earlier in the week,
when fortunately he was 33s. I still think the 25s you got is great value.I’m a bit pig sick that my other choice,Dolphin Vista, with my money on him, has disappeared
down the Suwannee, and Raymo will be equally p**sed off, I think the ground just got too
firm for him and Fahey did the right thing, he would probably finished down the field
if he had run in the conditions. Ah well, that’s racing for you
September 24, 2016 at 11:37 #1264578I think Oasis Fantasy @41 is good value.
I’m also in Bravo Zolo @16September 24, 2016 at 12:10 #1264590Master the world for me at 25/1. Only beaten a knats last year yet 2.5 times the price of the winner
September 24, 2016 at 12:31 #1264597Added Azraff e/w @40’s 5 places after watching a replay of his run
behind Firmament LTO.First time i’ve had 4 bets in a race

Good luck all
September 24, 2016 at 12:56 #1264603Treasury Notes is going the right way and has won four of his last six starts. The trainer is no stranger to success and I feel that 28/1 for this horse is a bit of value. I would have chalked him up at 16/1 on my own board were I playing bookie on this.
Treasury Notes 28/1 to swoop late (Bet365)
I haven’t seen anyone else who fancies Treasury Notes but some people must be on him, as he’s damn near favourite now.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 24, 2016 at 13:30 #1264612I like his chances too, you got him at great value
September 24, 2016 at 14:06 #1264629My three against the field would be Examiner, Third Time Lucky and Knight Owl with preference for Examiner who ran well in this last year and has gradually come to the boil this season, took 20’s this morning.
September 24, 2016 at 14:20 #1264633I’ve found a contender at decent odds.
My eye was drawn to David O’Meara’s Treasury Notes.
I see that your selection has been strongly supported today. Was it put up by Pricewise or is it the Caution millions making the bookies run for cover?
