Sounds like there is a horse at Southwell involved in the gamble as well with liabilities running up on the doubles and trebles.

Meanwhile, nobody bats an eyelid that a 4/11 favourite in a Grade 1 gets given prime position leading on the inside rail and goes on to win. Did the others really think the best way to beat Appreciate It was to never get in a position to be in front of him? Or were they not trying to beat it?

Oh, but most of the rest are trained by the same guy….

“a quid returns 9,430.00 at those opening shows”

Actually the 2nd leg was available at 14/1 rather than 9/1 last night. My mistake. Hate to state the obvious, but where is Barney in all of this?

Fire away was having it’s first run for Laura Morgan having moved from Daragh Bourke.

Who trains Gallahers Cross? Daragh Bourke.

This could easily result in some account closures. I was just wondering about Blowing Dixie, how did that one get in?

The first winner Fire Away was with Gallahers Cross (Daragh Bourke) trainer until a week ago. The syndicate that bought it – The Welly Wobblers Club – was having it’s very first runner today.

Blowing Dixie was running over 4-6 furlongs further in Class 4 or 5 races. I undertsand the drop in class and trip did the work. But how did it get in?

Gary O’Brien reckons this could cost the bookies £10 million …this has has taken a hell a lot of time and planning , this Gallagher cross was beaten 50 lengths last time ….what will they tell the stewards when it hosses up , forget the national or GC Cawley has the biggest ride of the season !!
