Even though it looks very lose on top, the last race (Jack Richards Novice Chase) was fast by 0.16s even though at times they were clocking high 15 to low 16s furlongs following a fast start.
FTF won last year’s race on officially good to soft ground with no problems and in a time of 5m 9.61s, which when compared to the Jack Richards Novice Chase time of 5m 10.84s shows that the ground is probably pretty similar to last year and there was no mention of him not running because of the ground last year.
If they pull him out over the ground, it will be a total disgrace
