From Today’s meeting I found that 4 of the advertised race distances were incorrect.
2m(H) = 15.6f
2m3½f(H) = 19.0f
2m5½f(H) = 21.0f
1m7f(C) = 14.5fWith Wetherby in mind I put together a thoroughbred linear par chart where I could calculate an approx distance.
Linear Pars

Why do I bother, nobody is interested…

October 14, 2015 at 19:20 #1217619I’m interested too, TBB! I just don’t have anything to add on top of your great insights.
I’m always reading and appreciating though.
October 14, 2015 at 21:22 #1217635I find it very odd with the remeasuring of racecourses that many, such as Wetherby now have a distance of 1 mile and 7 furlongs, surely they can move the starting post back a bit to make it 2 miles again?
