We got back on track after a tough fourth quarter last year with a much needed 6/1 winner last weekend (Capeland) to get the new year off to a good start.
Only one tomorrow on what is a pretty uninspiring Saturday set of cards. Back on the flat, at Lingfield on the all-weather surface, I am keen on FOX POWER (9/2 BetVictor, SkyBet).
This Richard Hannon trained five year old was gelded following his last run in November. Prior to that he’d shown himself capable of decent artificial surface form and off what looks a favourable mark he looks to have a leading chance in this with the 9/2 looking half a point or more favourable.
He’s the only horse I can get enthusiastic about tomorrow and we’ll keep our powder dry for the time being.
