Love Kitty’s Light and it’s ridiculous to think he’s still only five. At a price Annamix and with her horses going well Cloudy Glen.
Had to watch this twice again, absolutely amazing
Whatever he’s done in racing, Dettori’s always been arrogant and me, me, me. Appreciate Stradavarius and the great horse that he is but wound me up the other day when he was constantly looking out for non-existant dangers. Just go and win the race.
Well Said by both Kim Bailey and David Menuisier. To just pick up Cork All Star on your last paragraph, I think we are all aware that unfortunately some horses do end up at an Abattoir but it was the manner in which many arrived there and the unnecessary use of the abattoir in these cases, and only over a four day period.
AndyRAC, we must be exactly the same era as i remember everything you’ve quoted there! Also seem to remember that before the National meeting there was a televised meeting from ascot on the Wednesday.
Can’t see past the favourite, but please Frankie as i’m not a fan, don’t start looking around for non existent dangers as you’ve tended to do more recently. Go and win the race, do your flying leap but i don’t need the arrogance of several looks when we know you’re going to win and are on the best horse.
Wednesday. Although we know this won’t change, it seemed to make it more special when i had to run home from school to see the likes of Slip Anchor win! The same these days as Cheltenham, i take the week off of work to watch and it feels special because i have to do it.
Only just watched it and to be fair to Tommo he did mention two of the fallers straight away.
Fair points, I just look at these races and apart from the Bowl they are not Grade 1 standard.
All the best Richard, a credit to the National Hunt game. Love it you’ve retired in a low key way.
For what it’s worth think Burrow’s Saint has an outstanding chance, irish national winner at SIX! and now at the right age of eight (may be a blessing the for him the race didn’t take place last year). Also each way, Discorama at 40-1. Looks to be laid out for either this or irish national, as he’s been placed at the last three festivals but missed it this year.
That’s fortunate that Denise Foster has the same mentality as Gordon Elliot by having over twenty horses declared!!!
Wow, wow, wow. Fantastic performance, didn’t have a penny on, simply enjoyed it
As i posted previously, if Gordon Elliot had co-operated fully with the IHRB, as he said he has, why don’t they already know who the others in the photo are?
DiamondGeezer, you are a better man than me as i just looked on the IHRB website (awful) and can’t find a thing, where was it? thanksSo no mention of the IHRB investigating this further to find out the other two people in the photo. Read that Gordon elliot had said he was co-operating fully with the IHRB over this; so you told them the names of the two other people involved then? Can’t really buy the excuse that it was too long ago to remember, as i’d think i’d remember the day i’d sat astride a dead horse and was photographed doing it!
There is still so much unanswered here. I have no proof whatsoever but a video shot in 2016 and a picture taken in 2019; are these coincidences? Don’t think so, I think there’s more at play here. Have the IHRB completed their investigations now? Is there an outstanding investigation involving Rob james? Transparency in racing indeed!
We still need to know all the participants in the Elliot photo. With regards Rob james, do we know who the horse was? Who’s gallops this was on and who all the other people in the video are? I presume there would be a fair chance that a lot of these are still involved in racing.
Finally, and it could be completely innocent, but i have a Cheltenham festival database i set up (just the last seven years so far) and noticed that the only ride Rob james has had in that timeframe was the 2020 kim muir!I’m confused! Does this mean that “he” will still have runners at Cheltenham but under the name Foster?
