Sorry to hear your news GT. We lost our little Pug Alfie last year and it hit the family hard. I took comfort knowing we had provided him with a great life and I’m sure you’ll have done the same for Jessie. Best wishes Steven.
We will do GT. It’s almost getting to the stage where she’s asking if GT has put up any selections LOL! I watched Klondike’s race on a rubbish screen on my phone and it looked like a Ryan Moore masterclass in judging pace.
Royal Ascot is always a great spectacle, however, it’s also very easy to over bet. Anyway you’ve enough points in the bag to sustain a few bad results.
Brilliant again GT. I’m on holiday in Vegas just now and you’ve just bought the Mrs and I a nice steak dinner tonight I think you should be charging for access to these tips :)
Brilliant stuff GT. I’ve not backed every selection, however, I’m defo in enough profit from following your thread that I owe you a pint or two 👍
Just the forecast in the Duke of York to start the meeting. Well done GT 👍
Tiber Flow stumbled and took a horrible fall. Hope the horse and jockey are both ok
I missed the big race due to work commitments, however, I’ve just watched a replay. Winner looks a real smart horse. He put the race to bed a furlong from the post.
I owe you a pint GT. I didn’t have a big opinion on the race, however, when you kept nibbling away on Notable Speech I couldn’t resist a little ew bet. Tonight’s Chinese is on you Thank you“Outbox is the only front runner. If they allow him enough rope…”
Magnificent stuff GT
Sweet William was travelling beautifully 2 out GT but just didn’t find.
You were right about Kingdom Come Jimmy.
We live to fight another day. Roll on Guineas weekend. Thanks FF, makes sense
Cheers Jimmy, I’m very much learning when it comes to horse racing and loving reading through people’s analysis on this forum. I’d checked Kingdoms breeding to see if soft ground would suit, however, I hadn’t even thought about looking at a horses action. Win or lose you’ve provided me with a little nugget of information I can use moving forward 👍
Possibly not Jimmi. Tbh, I’m not knowledgeable enough to read a horses action. I looked at his Dams form though and she liked soft ground. Anyway it’s only a small bet I’ve had. I thought 10-1 was too big. Good luck I’m sure GTs winners will cover my losses :)
I had a look at the 1.40 last night and agree it’s a really trappy little race. I’ve had a nibble on Kingdom Come at 10-1 each way. He should have a fitness advantage on the others and I’m hoping some cut in the ground will bring out some improvement on his turf form. Agree with GT though, the Cox yard isn’t flying at the moment.
I thought Sandown looked real tough end of season card. Roll on the flat season.
What was looking a tough day turned around with a nice 20/1 winner! :good well done GT
Thanks for the reply GT. I just wondered if combined forecasts might be a method to consider when finding 3 or 4 value selections in a race. Like you, I don’t mind dutching 3 or 4 singles in a race if the value is there
Brilliant stuff again GT 👍. I see you had the tricast in the 3.35, do you ever cover these bets? I.e combined forecasts and tricasts? It’s not something I’ve dabbled in but may be worth considering when you fancy 3 or 4 in a race.
He had every chance GT. I’ve not watched the race back but from my vantage Surrey Quest got his nose in front 20 yards from the line and the Mullins horse responded. Don’t know if Macdermott was idling (or just tiring after 4 miles) but he definitely seemed to respond when he saw Surrey Quest get level with him. Surrey Quest also had the rail which I was hoping would’ve been the advantage he required. Anyway no complaints. It was a great finish to the race.
