All through my life i have fought the English mentality and tried to replace it with the Yankie mentality of a winner over a good trier everytime, but even though i backed Sharastani and enjoyed his racing career,i watched in amazment at Dancing Brave on the replay and admired the horse with complete admiration for the rest of his career.

Hi The Ledge, Avery fortunate trainner who had the right connections to put him were he is today and the quality of horses are top but he always seems to need time to bring his horses to there peak and one or two races seem to be the norm here.Don’t know the horse and was wondering what his breeding was and dosage?

Don’t get to upset folks alot of people are treated just as bad when their value has all but expired,a sad fact of life it is but one that should not be tolerated and highlighting the person/s responsible should help in some way.

To acheive what Vincent O’brien has done is unreal and with the sport being far more competrtive as time passes anyone who can even get slightly near his tally of black type would be a top draw trainner.I came into the sport at the end of this mans reign and to be associated with Piggot surley a golden era never to be equaled.

As a racehorse ,this horse has given his all in all his races and looking  back you have to say as a three year old ,this horse held his own in the best company. This horse only negative is the hype that the press and Ballydoyle gave for it and expected so much, i was caught up in the hype mainly due to the comments of the trainner and jockey especialy when the rock was winning and they never wavered in their assesment of the horse . If he stays in trainning we will see a top class horse giving his all who may never live up to the hype but should win some decent races along the way.

Are you a natural gambler or are you a cautios gambler?picking winners is the easy part nowing when to go in big is the real answer.Next time you have a well fancied horse ,who matches all your reasoning for a top bet go in heavier then you have ever done before and see what your reactions to the outcome are.

I still believe we have not seen the best of this horse yet . A lot of hype has surrounded this horse and expectations will always be high but given more oppertunities i think he can achieve the goals the press has given him, to prove himself one of the best horses of his era.

Hawkwing idled a bit in front and let Grandera catch him on the line , but Frankie rode a fantastic race and MK was a little bit easey on Hawkwing. This hose can still put up a performance like that when not 100% fit speakes volumes to me and i would fully expect to recoup my losseson him when he comes out 100% fit.Still a fantastic horse with a lot of ability and still has to prove himself a true champion.

A horse of exceptional ability and like many greats to miss their targets ie,DancingBrave……take nothink away from the victor but enjoy your success at the expense of a top class horse. It’s what you win not what you should have one that counts but give the horse a bit of credit for his ability and acheivments.

Mesh i agree with your views entirley my statement was a bit vauge in it’s content , i enjoy many threads on future races but sometimes after the event i feel that the race analisis is good except when people start to diminish a horse’s performance with past results. At the end of the day different opinions is what makes this forum interesting and long may it continue.

A fantastic training and riding performance from a brilliant horse , while unexpected but not a shock. You expect these type of occurences in horseracing and after doing my money i feel totaly gutted with the outcome,to all you moaners about G1 races being , predictable, not the quality of years gone by,try and enjoy a race of that calibre and congradulate all concrned without your bleating responses.
