Well thats some consolation!!
March 29, 2010 at 15:18 in reply to: Which flat horse would you like to have seen over jumps? #286299Very true Dalry but in fantasy land they can all jump!!

I certainly couldn’t condone the blokes behaviour but I must admit I have felt like doing the same to numerous jockeys over the years!!

But seriously its a reflection of the violent society we live in!!
And as far as Fallon not being convicted of any riding crimes do you remember the Top Cees business? Would you sooner believe Thommo or Fallon?
Just personal opinion but last time I looked I was still allowed to have one even in these days of Nanny State!!If you go stictly on the form book then Mon Mome won the National off 148 and is now off 155 but won twelve lengths so it has a serious chance and a form line with Comply or Die which it beat twelve lengths is eight pouns better off so that should finish close to it!! But then conditions, form, luck and jockey performance have to be considered too!!
Personally I dont think it will win again but thats because apart from Red Rum they don’t win two on the trot!!
Humble Pie is ready though!!

It would be fantastic!!It does you good to dream sometimes!!
I am not Scottish Dalry but I think you show some biased towards Rangers regarding McCoist in front of Dalgleish. That is TOTAL INSANITY but hey what do I know I am English!!
There is always an exception that proves the rule and Florida Pearl is that one!! But there are plenty that haven’t turned out to be as good as expected!!

Missed That
Cousin Vinnyall became disappointing IMO
I wait to be convinced otherwise about Cue Card
March 29, 2010 at 14:29 in reply to: Which flat horse would you like to have seen over jumps? #286282It would have to be something like Geordieland or some other flat monkey!!
Some of these temperamental flat horses would either be killed or cured metaphorically speaking if sent over a set of hurdles!!March 29, 2010 at 13:55 in reply to: Grand National ,worst horse and one who boxed above itself #286278Was it the same year that Tom Morgan was rocket launched from Little Polveir??
I shouldnt laugh but that was funny and once again I dont know why I laughed cos I backed it cos I used to follow John Edwards horses. If they are going to keep it to four days then why not a vets race?
I would say 12 and upwards and have had to ran at a festival before. Then we would have proper old faves and not just old plodders that normally would running round Fontwell etc.
Not that I have anything against Fontwell!!To save me looking Z any of these Henry Cecil trained??
Have to agree with CS about Cheltenham bumper winners!!
It has been a long time since one of them turned out to be top class either over hurdles or fences!!But I am sure somebody will tell me otherwise!!
I was most impressed by
BIG BUCKS
MENORAH
WEAPONS AMNESTY
SPIRIT RIVER(I know it wasnt a class race but I think this might turn out to be a Hellovahorse!!)
QUEVEGANothing else said WOW!! Well not unless I backed it!!
I agree with a lot of what has been said on this thread BUT and its a big but…..
The racing on channel four is trying to attract new viewers and not just us diehards that want to see insightful comment and intelligent information.
As is the case with most television nowadays it has been dumbed down for the general viewer.
As far as individuals are concerned I agree about McGrath not saying enough because he does have a lot of knowledge which he is reluctant to share. Francome is entertaining at least and he does occasionally point out a good price winner or tell you a jolly that cant win. Stevenson is fantastically informative and the rest are pretty much for the general veiwer. To conclude its all we have terrestrial wise and we have to put up with it I am afraid.Or maybe thats just me being a fatalist!!
Well so far I am on
Arbor Supreme 25/1
Palypso de Creek 66/1
King Johns Castle 40/1
Maljimar 33/1
and I am sure I will be backing others too!!
Sorry to be a wet blanket or a killjoy but I cant have Hello Bud or Snowy Morning on my mind!! For various reasons there are a few others I cant have either but I shall probably get the spoon out to eat the humble pie with like I did with Quevega at Cheltenham!!

Okay Crizzy will do but be careful they are pretty big perms!!
Well …..

Does anyone have an opinion on Palypso de Creek which I think ran well behind Our Vic and also behind Venturi and that run was at Aintree.
