Nicholls wins the first 3, then the NAP gets turned over. I give up …
Ironic he gave up the more dangerous jumps for the flat, then this …
OK, the ground has eased up a bit so let’s go!
225 Winc – THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE (NAP)
PN’s horses improve a stone for a wind op, it would be folly to let this one slip first time out after his great run in the Scottish National
I just saw on the telly, a shot of the turnstiles showing £36 and £24, I assume it’s the stands and £24 Silver Ring
“I expect it was £7 for a pint as well”
And a fiver for a ham sandwich. The concessions at tracks are eyewateringly expensive. What’s the price of a race card nowadays? £4?
It’s a real pity Towcester is gone, they had the right idea, bums on seats is everything. Tracks should do free entry days on Bank Holidays, the punters would swarm the placeMost bookmaker profits whizz off to tax havens like Gibraltar, Malta, Monaco, etc anyway, I’d say that this money remaining in the UK economy is surely a good thing?
Related to my other thread, reduce gate prices, incentivise going to the track and then racing can make a few quid for its self rather than funding tax avoiding bookiesYeah, I thought that, they have to rethink their priorities. Would they rather have 1200 old boys in flat caps paying outrageous prices at the turnstiles to satisfy their gambling fix, or entire families spending on food, betting and telling people what a great day they had?
Racing is pricing itself out of the market, the problem goes all the way back to the ‘GG tracks’ debacle. Running racing purely as a money making exercise rather than a national institution
The problem is exaggerated to the n’th degree at meetings like a January day at Lingfield a/w with about 250 people paying £25+ to watch Grade 5 drossI’ll take a two-week sabbatical, and come back when the ground has calmed down a bit
Wednesday – 315 Fak – HARKANGEL
Jesus wept, meeting abd
Monday – 225 Hunt – SPORTING ACE
36P4P7
I’ll wait till the weather dries up, there is no point trying to pick winners in a monsoon
I should know better than to invest in the bookies BS early price scam, so gone in again at 20s
I gotta horse, I gotta horse
225 Chlt – HIDDEN HEROICS
I expect a good run from this one, i’ll happily have a bit of 16s

P36P4P
I’m seemingly on a bad run, but it will change soon
320 Chelt – MOON HUNTER
2P36P4
I cant wait for the jumps to start proper, this dross is bloody impossible. Roll on Cheltenham
Rest assured, my first winner will break us evenToday’s, Thurs, tip is
245 Car – HIGH MOON
