To me it looks like (apart from Mange All) the better fancied horse(according to the market)s are drawn high.Boom And Bust (20),will probably take them along stand side at a decent clip.Far side (low) Fire Ship may well be the pace angle there, while last years winner Ocean Tempest(10) usually races prominent.
I maybe biased, but happy with the pace stand side for my two picks,Gabrial and Gabrial’s Kaka
Dry,bright and windy since 9am yesterday, looks dry today, while a few light showers forcast tomorrow.Going could change back to good,GS in places if rain dont come

Nice start to first day of the turf season, along with Solow and a decent day, down hill from here

Early one for saturday @ Meydan,Solow,in the Dubai Turf. The nine furlongs is perfect for the Freddie Head inmate. He has a versatile racing style, has made all in the past, racing close to the pace is a plus imo at Meydan.I decent comeback run at start of march all bodes well(i hope)

Lets see if i can my season finally up and running, before the real action begins at home

    Bet

    2PTS EW Solow 7/2 (365 1/4 odds)

some really good points made again(i do like the stuff that is posted on this forum). Its a big enough price not to do your ‘conkers’,but i would really be worried about backing Ivawood at trips above 7f.
But then again,i thought the same about Canford Cliffs.

one to possibly keep an eye on this season,is a four year filly of Dermot Weld’s,Tested.I see she is entered in the Gladness on 19/4 (which if turning up will carry a 3lb pen)
Just thought she was very progressive last season ,may well be up to winning at Group 2 level(fingers crossed)

    some good reads above

thought the run was to bad to be true,Vercingetorix has had to be retired.Right onwards and upwards(hopefully)

early price of 11/10(PP) for Vercingetorix to win saturdays Jebel Hatta seems fair enough.Hunters Light next in about around the 7/2 is well held on lasts season CD form in the Dubai Duty Free, when behind Just A way.
Not normally a player at such prohibitive odds, but just feel he could well be a class above saturday’s field

So 3Pts win @ 11/10 is the call. GL

If there is any cut in the ground i just could not have Treasure Beach on my mind, his dam never went on it and imo he is alot better on top of the ground.

Cue the sloosh in on heavy going.lol
