It’s nice to know that he researches his topic very well before he puts it to print. It’s nice to know what type of journo he is and i think anything he has to say regarding the gambling industry and any of it’s aspects must be taken very very sriously:o :o ……..how hard is it to figure out what the star system is all about.
I’ll have a small interest
Paddy Harrington 20/1
Kenny Perry 50/1
Don’t usually back in golf cause it is so hard but had a decent bet on Harrington to be top european in the players champ.
I reckon he might win a major this year. You can pretty much back him e/w all year he got a bad case of seconditus but he pays his way.
also have a sneaky suspicion for N.Price at 100/1
All I will say on the matter is that if you have any spare cash around and don’t mind investing it for a couple of months you should put it on Barrichelo w/o Schumacher available at 8/11 it is like buying money……………
Note to self:
Read Title of Thread.
Leopardstown Christmas Meeting for me.
Always competitive fields.National Hunt at its best.
Good point ardoss
Unfortunately Rooster didn’t run in leopardstown and instead ran at Kempton were he was beaten fair and Square. His second run this season and his second defeat. At least he improved on his previous Fifth!!!
On this years shown form he looks pretty much exposed
And Me
Andy,
I don’t want to be a pain but i was wondering if there was any chance you could send me a copy of your system.I have never seen a system before and would really appreciate the chance to take a look at one first hand from scratch. If not completly cool.
Cheers
Grass,
To say that Back infront has not mixed it in the top company is ridiculas. He ran in the cheltenham bumper with Rhinestone cowboy,Pizzaro,Iris’s gift,Thisthatandtother(recognise any of these)
Last year he mixed it with the best novice hurdlers Hardy eustace,Won the supreme.
This year again he has been racing against the top level in Intersky and solerina Sacundai.
He has always raced against the best around and now is progressing into the next level of racing.Has yet to prove it but is still unexposed as far as I’m concerned.
Regarding his race against Intersky Falcon the betting market that day tells you all you need to know about what was tought of back in front.Clear second fav with no money coming on a horse who won the supreme novices running in his backyard :o
And you seem to be forgetting that his run in punchestown came two days after his previous:o as an after thought by O’grady a why not run.
No one is suggesting he has shown champ winning form so far but as already said there is time to improve(his time of year) and we are yet to see Rooster so we can’t comment on his wellbeing or form the last time we saw him he was getting rolled over by sacundai. When rooster runs this year we will see if he has anything left.
Grass,
If your talking soft we yet to see rooster out this year he has had engagements this year and has missed them all.Ground not rite,Not right distance.
Oh and by the way wasn’t rooster done in by sacundai at aintree.Sacundai would later be beaten by Back in front and just last weekend was stuffed by solerina last weekend.
Please explain how one is good form the other is trash?
It may be of some interest to you regarding the form of Back in Front.Last Year he finished behind Hardy Eustace in the novice event that was run last sunday at Fairyhouse then just got up later to beat a no mark over the christmas period at leopardstown looking nothing like a horse who could win the supreme like he did.The fact is that Back in Front was a spring horse when he ran in the bumper was a spring horse when he ran in the supreme novices and will be a spring horse when it comes to the champs.
As a spring horse he is not therefore running at his time of year.No doubt grass you don’t think that different horses come to hand at different time’s of year?
Grasshopper.
Your bang on with what you say about Our Vic.My big problem was it is completley unknown what route he will be taking.I had hoped that if he runs on saturday over hurdles that would be a sign that a hurdle campaign was on the cards.I’m not to worried about the ability of the horse i take a chance but if he then went for the arkle or some such and the champion was out of the question i’d be a little sick.
It’s a simple point i am making.
When Rooster Booster lined up against Mr. Cool he was the outsider i doubt if many people thought of him as a champion hurdle winner never mind a multiple winner on form he had previously held, mayb county hurdle.
Mayb he does belong up there but he has to prove he belongs up there and he is running out of time.
The champion hurdle form has yet to be established this year and I am looking for a potential pretender to the crown at a price.
Just curious though how long were the ‘in-between’ years are there between istabraq and the previous multiple winner?
I think that Rooster Booster’s preformance was slighlty overlooked after the Best Mate story but the champion hurdle isn’t a race as far as i can see that a horse comes back year after year to win.Istabraq was a very special horse the way he won it three times but that is not a common thing to happen in this race and as of yet Rooster Booster has to prove that he can produce it again.
Many horses win the race then that is all they do.Mayb a history of the race will prove me wrong.
Last year i saw Our Vic winning his races and he did nothing but impress every time.He may not have beaten much but as soon as i heard he was going over hurdles again this year i was very excited.
Mcoy would love nothing more than to win the Champ hurdle esp after the Valerimix incident and if this horse can impress on saturday i think 33/1 which is available would be a nice price. It is a shot in the dark but that’s why i get on at 33’s.
If i’m wrong fair enough and we will see on saturday but the market for the champs hurdle doesn’t look althat impressive and if self defense ;) and marble arch can place themselves in the champs any horse can.

No not at all.
He won all his hurdles races last year with out being asked a question .Gave lumps of weight away on his last race and didn’t break walking pace to win.Ptu away after that and i reckon he could be avery good horse.Who would have thought a year ago that Rooster Booster would win a champion hurdle and the previous year it was Valaromix that came from no where to be very unlucky not to win.
It’s not always the obvious horse at the star of the season. Before that Make a stand won 8/1 on the day what price wud you have got on him winning this time of year.
I think Our Vic is a very good horse and I’m looking for a little more insight into the situation than "i hope your joking".
Actually mayb I’m wrong to suggest an outsider.
I think Rooster Booster might have a chance.:o
Wat about Our Vic.
He is down to run in the hurdle on saturday.Wasn’t sure if he would go chasing this year but if he does go over hurdles then he would potentially have a chance?
