A very well done to Scotland today in the FP for beating Lancashire, it’s the third time they have won at Old Trafford, incredible stuff. i would laugh only they have humiliated Somerset a couple of times aswell in the past.

I have a theory. There are but a few four star jockeys .

It would’nt be a necessity for New Approach to front run in the Derby just so long as he could travel and be handy with the pace, i think he could take it up whenever Manning pushed the button, agree about him being more suited to the Curragh he will be the one to beat imo.

Glamorgan’s win today has opened the south west divison up, they ripped through Somerset’s top order but i still think Langer’s men can reach the next round.This wednesday Somerset host Hampshire in the county championship, before today i would have been pretty confident of a victory but with todays setback and Hampshire’s win over Gloucster

Final today and i must say we all failed miserable to pick the winner, ok an in-form O’Sullivan is pretty hard to beat but i just feel he has had a comfortable route to the final, the two Chinese boys very talented but lacking in experience, Williams dropping down the rankings faster then New Approach out of the stalls and Hendry just not up to his best of yesteryear. Good luck to Ali Carter it would be nice to see the young boy win, he’s won some very tough matches and won a lot of fans, but i just think the Rocket is ready to take the title.

That was some achivement by Worcestershire last season to win the pro 40 considering they came bottom of the championship and New Road looked like a lake, i can remember they played one of there home games at Taunton.
I might not like the format of this F Provident but i think Somerset have made a solid start to it and would expect them to make the quaters, they chased down a useful total tonight, Bond only bowled 5 overs for Hampshire(maybe injured already).
