Thanks for that link Pete. It looks very useful.
Those stats look more encouraging.

I’ve got a list of 15 horses for tomorrow but have a gut feeling to go down the favourite route so apologise for changing my mind again but I’m looking for following now instead – 1st LTO or bf running within 7 days of last race and forecast fav from Atr website.

Good luck Mrs CS.

I’m hoping this one breaks my run of defeats otherwise I’m going to have to dust off my scrims and get my lazy backside up my ladder. The horse deserves a big win after a royal ding dong at Ascot in the Gold Cup and wasn’t far behind the impressive King George winner Harbinger earlier on in the season.
£4.00 win.

I wonder, I wonder. Is it misguided loyalty, sado-masochism, or a cricket-related adrenalin rush. You’re once, twice….three times a……………a winner!!!!
KI like that, Cheers Ken.

Nathan, I thought you were going to do it a couple of furlongs out. Sad about Film score though.
Film Score was very sad.

It was a shame Fencing Master couldn’t hold onto a place. The pace looked quick and he might of been better coming from deeper although the winner wasn’t too far behind Fencing Master on the way around. I was in a really good mood tonight after Somerset’s cricket team made it into Final’s day of 20/20(I’m on them winning it at 9’s) and to celebrate I’ve nailed my colours to the mast and have backed…………..wait for it……………………………………….

No Cameron White today for Somerset but the good news is that if they can get past Northants then Pollard should return for finals day.

Thanks Ken. The best thing about betting in small stakes is I could lose 100 in a row and all I have to do is go out and clean the neighbours windows and if I’m lucky I might get a cup of tea and a biscuit or even a piece of cake.

The mugs have been reading again, Fencing Master now 12’s best price.

I’m pocketing the 9p profit

Just the paper trail from now on but including winners LTO.
2.45 Goodwood – Fencing Master(bf)(6) 14/1 this morning
Three Ships was a winning LTO but I’m in a hurry and cant find the paper with race details on so will start scoring P/L again from scratch tomorrow.

Having looked back at the Ascot race perhaps I was wrong in thinking a mile was this horse’s best trip as after a slow start and being pushed along a fair way from home he finished strongly enough and done his best work at the finish. This is another step up in trip but he holds an entry for the St Leger so I’m confident he will see out the trip. His run 6 days ago wasn’t great but I’m prepared to give him another chance on better ground.

The stats from bagnallc and the 8 losers in a row have got me thinking to look for a different approach. I agree with Billion in that a winner returning quickly could figure in the selection process.
I was thinking along the lines of
#Winner or bf running again within 7 days
#Forecast fav from ATRwebsite (easier for me than news paper)Any thoughts?

I promise I will never doubt Somerset again!
I try not to praise them up too much because when I do they seem to put in a bad game but this is the best Somerset side I’ve seen in a very long time. Kartik be there again next season and the way the wicket is changing at Taunton with not preparing a batting paradise for championship games I think one more quality bowler and they could land the title. Need to win it soon as Trescothick could prove hard to replace.Nice bet there with the Unicorns
thought Worcester had hit enough because Durston no longer plays for the Unicorns and he was their main man before the break in the comp.Charles Darwin to conquer the World
