I have not had a Saturday Football bet for years but am asking if anyone has or can suggest a simple system for a bit of Saturday fun.
Never mind the corners, pens. off sides etc. etc. just plain and simple Home, Away, Draw.
Years ago when SMART was a magazine I remember one submitted to bet every match on the fixed odds coupon to draw 2-2, it only required one result to make a profit.
Needless to say the odds for such a result soon changed.
I hope we will have some fun to look foreward to.

In the Daily Mail on Saturdays, there is a feature called Banker Treble. You’ll find it in the box where it tells you about all of the fixtures for the day.
It’s only in the English version, for some reason not the one available in Scotland.
Anyhow, my dad and I used to back them in a patent each week last season. Started off at £2 per point / £14 per week, with a bank of £50. Increased the stake by £1 per point every time the bank had enough to cover four bets. Ended last season with just over £150 in the biscuit tin.
Starting off again over next couple of weeks, now that early season form is settling down.
Best wishes. Brownowl.

November 17, 2010 at 21:53 #328392No I’ve not tried it before Bill. Going in blind, just a trial no money involved. A bit of fun for the weekend.
Thanks Steve for that link, looks useful. I’m sure there’s systems to be found from that site.

November 18, 2010 at 10:25 #328462Hi Billion,
In the book ‘Complete Manual of Racing & Betting Systems’ by David Duncan is a wager system called the Weekender. It is written for horse racing but can be used for football aswell as any other sport. Its a slightly complicated read and difficult to get your head round, but basically it tries to get gains from multiple bets both with smaller regular returns aswell as the possibility of winning big one day! It requires 6 selections, perfect amount to choose from the Saturday coupon.
I must admit I have never used it regularly, but when I have used it it has made me returns and a few nice profit wins too. The book is an excellent read and well worth having a look at – you can adapt the systems to whatever sport.

I see you have dug out another site for us to have a look at.
Have you used it in anyway and if so how and with what success.
Having had a look at it myself I was a little bit taken by the "PICKS" and thought the
TREBLE
looked to be a good way to get some of my 50p’s back after following
Nathan’s
latest brainwave.

Mornin’ JugofPunch66….Welcome to ‘Systems’ and I’m pleased to make your acquaintance.
I haven’t read that particular book but the system you mention puts me in mind of a popular method which apparently has stood the test of time. It involves Consecutive Doubles, Non-Consecutive Trebles with an Accumulator on the first two and last two of the six selections. The order in which you write the selections is, of course, critical.
Does this sound like the ‘Weekender’…would be interested to know?Billion
No…haven’t used the site but I believe the current form tables could turn out to be quite useful. I like ‘Aways’ and in the days of pools coupons did have the occasional fairly decent win on the ‘Four Aways’ by selecting from the bottom of the coupon upwards. Can’t really get excited by ‘Fixed Odds’ however but if you or Nathan come up with a guaranteed winning plan I suppose I might stir myself into investing a few shillings each week.
Got to go now…Matron’s coming down the corridor carrying something that looks rather painful.
