Will see if she handles the dip next May. Hopefully it was just ground/inexperience this time. If she dont then i doubt she wins an Oaks regardless of breeding as won’t handle Epsom.

Hello Youmzain 5-1 ew. Everything in his favour.
My 2 selections ew 5 places are…
Timoshenko 12s – been laid out for this. Ground is a complete unknown but if he handles it he is a confident selection.
Mr Everest 16s – if the above selection sinks in the ground, best to pick another so gone for this one yesterday in the hope there would be market support for it today, which there was.
I’m avoiding Mullins winning 2 in a row, and 3 year olds who have won once in the last 20 years, and wide draw runners. So picking out of the remaining selections based on this was straightforward enough.
Good luck all.
Not bred for the oaks unless a breeding expert can prove me wrong.
Backed the winner at 10s for the Guineas. After that dunno if it was a good decision.
I don’t think Enable was that close to the pace tbh. Let the 3 in front do their thing. Any further back and she would have to have been further back than Frankie would’ve wanted and he wanted to understandably keep it simple.
And then she had to go for home when she did because she had company from the 3 year olds and had to fight them off. Just the way the race pan out.
Timoshenko in to 7s in places.
Interesting comments from Andre Fabre post race…
1) Was concerned about the ground as he showed turn of foot on better ground in the Ganay.
2) After the King George jockey said horse would win the Arc. (Which implies that on better ground he was confident of turning the tables.)
So would Waldgeist have won anyway on better ground? Are we making excuses for Enable when Waldgeist was inconvenienced as well by conditions? Even Sottsass trainer said he wasnt expecting Waldgeist to do that on that ground. So the winner deserves more credit I think. A winning machine at Longchamp.
Pretty sure York was Enable’s last run in England. I don’t reckon she will be back next year.
Breeders Cup if they want to finish on a high then retirement I would think.
She won’t run here. Frankie cried when she won at York said last run in England.
Ta all. Dont think I’ll be finding a 33-1 Arc winner again any time soon.
Waldgeist 33s. Yay!!!!
I agree Igor. The first 2 winners the trainers were worried about testing conditions but they won anyway.
Not got a strong view on this because of ground.
