I also saw that race at Suffolk Downs, I am not willing to place my money in the hands of brainless jockeys.
Even if you have never ridden a horse you dont give a 22 length lead. The jockey did not even try to close down, the jockey seemed happy to let him have that lead.
Im not saying English racing has great jockeys as it really doesnt but USA raacing has a lot more negatives..
I think Riby is a superb jockey, top class but felt that was poor. So can I ask why he stopped riding 3 out but then suddenly started riding before the last?

For me it looks bent as too often odds on shots run extrodinarily poorly which I cannot have. The drugs situation makes me even less comfortable with placing my hard earned cash in such a sport..
The problem with jockeys is they never have and never will have the punters best interests at heart.
They will always try to take care of a horse if rusty/tired and not put all into winning, rather give it an educationl ride and try next time.
Jockeys are not given their riding fee from the punters but rather the owners, although bare in mind there would be no prize money/no racing at all if it were not for punters…..
For me I avoid backing NH horses until after November for reason highlighted by yourself today…
Ben you are right with Inglis obviously, but how many Inglis has he had, when you consider how many Inglis type price tags they have bought? I know money cannot buy you success but surely you must consider their operation to be of a poor standard?
Perhaps I was wrong to say ruin him.
What I meant was what a waste in terms of cost. i.e Connections seem to p money up the wall for some of the hounds they either buy or end up being (You can have your thoughts on wether they were hounds before or after) Either way they are hounds….
Sorry about the tip lads. Unlucky I guess, with clear run I think we would have won, I dont think we will get it in the stewards though, would be very harsh to take if away from the winner.
I myself have always avoided backing horses where Moore rides. For me (and just my view) He does seem to find trouble a lot of the time.
Im not saying he is useless as I am not a jockey , all Im saying is I would rather not back a horse with him riding it. Its my money, my choice…
