On paper this looks a very competitive race but I’ll go for Binocular here. He’s the best of this bunch and should leave them for dead once he clears the last. C’mon Binocular!
Denman for me all the way. Dodgy ticker, top weight, first run of the season… I’ll still take him over the rest of the field. He’ll be too good for this lot.
Denman to win by 5+ lengths.
What a race given the conditions. Kauto yet again comes out on top in what was an excellent battle with IC.
As for the "somewhat wrapped up in cotton wool and not fully tested" suggestion by Himself I’m going to assume that was a joke as it is utter nonsense when directed at Kauto Star.

The 2009 (GC winning) version of Kauto Star beats any version of Denman and anything else currently in training.
There is a long way to Cheltenham though and anything can happen but if the champion turns up on form it’ll be Gold Cup #3 for Kauto.
