What a joke can you imagine RP with Geoff Boycott who will no doubt be on too.
Thank god for David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd.
Come on England!
How long will Sheikh Mohammed continue with Bin Suroor. Whilst the trainer and Godolphin have had numerous success stories there have been countless recent occasions where supossedly good horses appear to have been ruined after being bought or transfered to Godolphin.
I don’t think there is any any doubt a trainer such as Kevin Ryan or Mark Johnston would have had far more success given the same resources as Bin Suroor
I can’t see past Alexandrova. The run in May can be discounted and she proved good to soft is no problem with her win at the Ebor meeting.
Having Fallon back on board is a positive as well.
Is anybody wise as to what Frankie will be riding yet. I understand he was being lined up for Rail Link but I see now Pasquier is booked. Has he chosen between Rail Link and Sixties Icon and gone for the latter which maybe makes SI value at 16/1 if only for EW money.
Pacemakers have always been part of big racedays. Serious alleged foul play such as last Saturday can be dealt with by the stewards.
Even if you do believe that Heffernan did use ‘team tactics’ the result was never in doubt. I am not aware of an occasion in the past where the result has been influenced by team tactics. (except maybe Shergar Cup)
So is a rule change necessary, I don’t think so.
I was shocked to see the money today for Pride. I can’t see how anybody can put it in front of HR or Shirocco after the Prix Foy.
I’m still convinced Rail Link has the potential to be a superstar. Youmzain gave the Prix Niel form a boost on Sunday and Fabre’s last three Arc winners have gone via the Prix Niel. It will be interesting to see what Frankie rides if Sixties Icon is supplemented.
