Apologies, should be When The Stars Begin To Drop, but I’m sure you’ll agree the rendition of the song makes up for that.
Great song. If Sea The Stars has the same success at stud as he did on the race track he could be the foundation sire of the modern era, like a latter day Nearco. Of course, STS could also be a complete flop or have limited success like Secretariat, who’s primary influence today is as a broodmare sire as Secretariat was the sire of fillies and mares like Terlingua and Lady’s Secret. We should know soon as STS is going to get the very best mares for his first and second crops.

WARNING – if you turned up the volume because the first video was a bit quiet, the next two have some very loud, enthusiastic female fans of Queen Z. Some of the comments are pretty funny.

Jogs up the track for an encore, accepts her flowers, then back to the barn and the Zenyatta show is over until next time. If you get a chance to see big Z’s show in person, take it. The race itself is just part of the performance.
I don’t think Zenyatta even got into a gallop, looks like she won in an easy canter.

Zenyatta even bigger than bingo in Hot Springs –
Trucks from four Little Rock television stations followed the silver semitrailer carrying Zenyatta and several other horses on its short drive to the track. About 50 people gathered to watch her walk off the truck and into the barn, with several applauding.
"The biggest thing going in Hot Springs on a Tuesday is a bingo game," one observer said, noting the excitement her presence created.

Or maybe Zenyatta should run for President
“The last time a crowd like this turned out , it was for Air Force One,” said Oaklawn’s assistant general manager David Longinotti. “Bill Clinton came home one time and landed here. This crowd is about the same.”
Only four owners had the courage to enter their horses against Zenyatta in the Apple Blossom.
#1 Be Fair, Calvin Borel
#2 Taptam, Cliff Berry
#3 War Echo, Shaun Bridgmohan
#4 Zenyatta Mike Smith
#5 Just Jenda, Terry Thompson
Zenyatta arrived today in Hot Springs Arkansas aboard Air Horse One. After a brief stop at the airport to greet her many fans, her motorcade then proceeded to take her to Oaklawn Park where she will run in the Apple Blossom April 9.
Gomez retains mount on Looking At Lucky. Gomez fined, Espinoza suspended by stewards.

The Bill Dwyre columns not bad either as he has a few tongue in cheek suggestions on how to increase attendance at Santa Anita.

Update on Gomez vs. Espinoza after Santa Anita Derby
"According to other jockeys in the room after the race, Gomez went after Espinoza, and though they pushed and loud, unprintable words were exchanged, they were separated before any punches could be thrown. One rider, who asked not to be identified, was asked who won.
"The stewards," he cracked."
Zenyatta, no fool she, was born on April 1. Here is a picture from her birthday party;
halfwaytoheaven-33-1, wow. I would definitely be on Esky myself at those odds. As I stated, I am leaning towards LAL because I expect good odds and I have a small future bet on him as well as 2 or 3 others, but at nowhere near 33-1. More like 5-1 as LAL was one of the early favorites and I may get beter than that at post time. Eskendereya has the style for the KY Derby as it is a 20 horse field, at least two or three horses usually go for the lead and set suicide fractions and deep closers have a lot of traffic to get through so close-up stalkers usually do well. As you say, that depends on getting position on the first turn and not being 4 or 5 wide or getting bumped around in the middle of the pack. If Eskendereya is as good as he looked in the Wood, we might have the first triple crown winner in many years.
You have the ew backing your play but if you are really nervous and you have exacta betting, you can hedge by putting 4 or 5 horses on top and Eskendereya 2nd. Of course, if a Mine That Bird type longshot wins or Eskendereya finishes 3rd or worse, that might just be a good way to lose another 4 or 5 bets. Good Luck.
