All set to record on series recording. Flashing record symbol when I get back in and the thing hasn’t recorded. Absolute pain.

And maybe the USA should be banned for killing their own as well.

If he hacks up at Southwell he shouldn’t go for the CH. Two completely different races. One has obstacles, the other none. Obstacles seem to get in the way for CH nowadays.

Unfortunately after 3 falls in his last 4 races and one lucky not to fall the race before this, it seems too great a risk to run CH over hurdles again, which is a big shame.

HMRC have published a list of all these schemes and their promoters and suppliers. There are hundreds of them.

So although I have some sympathy for Dettori in buying into this as thinking it was sound financial advice, now he has been caught he should live with the consequences and pay any tax and nics owed.

I’m sure there are others with much more financial nous than Dettori who have fallen for these schemes.

Just thinking this could have been the 8th 6-2 and Robertson misses the easiest black ever. Mind you Wakelin missed easish one also so this is still on. Wonder what odds you could have got for all first round scores to be the same?

Suggestions that US State Secretary Marco Rubio could become Cuban President when they overthrow the current president

To turn attention away from this Trump has now made the delusional comment that he needs Greenland before China or Russia invade

Not surprised they released the bodycam footage as this gives a much less clearer picture of the situation. The original footage shows the vehicles wheels turning as though trying to evade the officer and get away asap.

Vance’s take on the footage really is bullshit.

Thanks for posting about Tony Field CAS. I hadn’t heard this.

I remember my dad talking about him as they grew up in the same area. Tony was about a year older.

Mums just informed me that he also went out with her cousin for a very short time. It was quite a thing in the family for one of their own to be going out with a footballer.

    RIP Tony.

Not exactly sure how the drug wipe works but I know it tests for both cannabis and cocaine and is usually performed if the breathilyser test is passed or they believe the person is under the influence of drugs. Breathilyser is usually done first as this only takes seconds to give a result whilst the drug wipe takes a few minutes.

Another thing about drinking and driving. The 0% beers/lagers etc are much more palatable nowadays up to those 30 years ago. Anyone remember Kaliber

I’ve said before the demise of the local pub was all down to Thatcher’s pubco idea. When I started drinking 36 years ago there were 10 pubs and 2 social clubs in the area. Now there are 3 pubs, one of which closes and reopens every now and again and the one social club.

The Daily Telegraph needs to understand that Drink Driving by anyone, whether British, Albanian, Syrian or whoever is totally selfish and if caught a just punishment should be given. A second offence should be an automatic life ban.

I’m surprised the papers haven’t spun it to say Labour are going the way towards a Muslim society and will be banning alcohol totally in a couple of years.

Could have had a couple of longer breaks this Christmas & New year period. Say racing finished on Saturday 20 Dec and then returned Boxing Day. After Saturdays meetings which were far from top class these also could have been shelved. After the NYD meetings a break could have been taken say up to today with racing returning tomorrow. Again nearly a week off.

    Elizabeth Taylor?

No racing at Southwell today unless I’m missing something.
