Hes not the much needed poster boy, hes the problem, 80% of this seasons talk has revolved around this horses running not running running not runnong, state man deserves this, id love for nothing more than CH to scope clean, run, not be at his best and state man beats him

And MM if he was trained by mullins hed have won the morgiana the mathieson and the irish champ, 4 may have been a slight exaggeration, but the reality is it would have been at minimum 3

    Moody man,

Whats that got to do with the campaigning of CH this season? I wish no ill health on nicky or the horse, but hes absolutely wasting a potential once in a lifetimer, state mans going to finish the more decorated animal, because what? it rained in winter and an away day doesnt suit?. how does that sit with the horses best interest?

If the horse was trained by anyone else he’d have 4 grade 1s this season alone at this point with the spring festivals to come

I really hope state man gets his CH and sets willie up for a shot at the big 3 in a few weeks time

Ive been fascinated watching langer dan tumble back down to 141 all season with the “spring brings it out of him” excuse, thinking surely they wont drop him again surely they wont drop him etc, to eventually thinking right, on the wednesday anything 6/1 and bigger ill be ploughing into, literally all in

But then he bled LTO, now i cannot back him

To now ill be laying him

    Some game this

Ballyburn would be 13/8 for the the ballymore ginge? On what planet? Evs at absolute best, 4/5 more likely

Such a poor supreme that running MP & tullyhill, one of them will win and ballyburn will walk the ballymore

Dont think theyll be much bingo going on, id say what ive just said its nailed on where theyll go

Jeriko running will make no difference to MP, jeriko would need to start now

Has to be a negative townend hasnt came over for the fav, i dont imagine winning a listed race on ADV is of any interest if he thought the fav would win this, one eye on the jockeys championship for sure, but this is a better pot

Id rather back the other two mullins horses at 16s & 110s

But i do agree with you ginge regarding the fav, given connections hes no 16/1 shot with ground to suit, just townend not coming is putting me off

Gaelic warrior @10s now, hes definitely going to come here after that shower of …. Yesterday, he’d win this with minimum fuss

Id like him to lose today to confirm he absolutely comes here, but i dont think it matters anyway, he’ll run in this

Hasnt a prayer with another 1/4 mile

Should add to this, nothing lost in defeat there for FOS, hes earned his place and hes certainly worthy of atleast 2nd in this, ill be playing him in the without market on the day, by far the best of the rest

Cant remember such an interesting time backing/laying during a race, within 2 minutes dancing city was out to 60-80s and the fav was into 1.6 for absolutely no reason whatsoever (fwiw i never backed DC at the above mentioned prices) but the fav was still being backed as if defeat was out of the question

Stellar story @19s for a small bet, fascinating prices in this, have to be laying the fav at this price, not sure why dancing city is the outsider either..

Comeback run behind FOS was over a distance that is just to short now HDLG, in a small space of time hes went from a very quick horse over 2 1/2, to now looking like he needs 3m+, but at the same time looking in a different league at 3m

I dont think we’ll see him under 3m again anyway and like i said, i wouldnt be surprised should he win this, that FOS or something else beats him in april

at this distance, he has a stone on anything hes running against

But i wouldnt be against backing FOS e/w in this, paul did an unreal job at somehow keeping GDC away from all the trouble in this last year and youd imagine theyll ride him similarly, might not be as lucky 2nd time round off the pace to avoid all the danger, then again he could so easily just sit him 3rd

Ah his cheltenham from is 2/2 in grade 1s, he’ll be fine, just wether he retains that ability, nice position to be in should he run and if sir G beats monkfish ill eat my shoe

They do gm23, but even a trip to al-zarooni wouldnt be enough for JDR to have any chance

Ff, they wont be riding him aggressively in the gc…..

And its not that fos is a one trick pony, its just that the gc/punche double catches almost all the GC winners out… theres no doubt that GDC is by a distance a superior horse, fos wont get near him in march

Anything over 3m ran at a testing gallop, id say hes unbeatable, hes a 180 horse under those conditions now, id fancy him to win this by a distance and be beaten by FOS at punche again
