Word has it that Shirocco will have a massive german following on Arc weekend complete with banners and flags and his price will be a lot smaller on the track than it is at present (4.6 on betfair) they even play the music from the movie Das Boot,thats the one about the submarine being hunted by the brits in WW2 in his box! you have been warned he will never surrender…
Shirocco is a different horse now that Farbre has got to know him if you remember last year he had his first run for him on the 11thSept after having a year of and in his next run he was ridden by S Pasquier in the Arc when the stable were only just getting to know him(shirocco) albeit he ran a cracker on ground that was faster than he likes when 4th to H-Run.Since that day he has never looked back and under Fabre´s regime he has blossomed.We should remember H-Run beat nothing leading up to the French Derby and in that Derby he and Sharmadal beat nothing except a well btn Scorpion (who had an off day?) so we are not talking about a world beater in H-Run.They have both btn Electrocutionist,Pride beat H-Run and Shirocco beat Pride so at the end of the day there is not a lot in it wether it is a fast race or a slow one they will be close but i think Shirocco has the better credentials as he did win a Breeders cup even though no-one gives him the credit he deserves.
Hi, Im a new member and i was hoping Nannina won yesterday but i was not to be! But Red Evie must be very good to beat the likes of Nannina,also if you look at her last 4 races everthing she has beat(first 3 or 4 home) has since been placed in Listed company after and in 1 or 2 cases Grp3. But in the Sun Chariot which is her next target i reckon she will be hard pushed to beat SPECIOSA who ran very well on her comeback and was looked after by Mickey Fenton.
