A lot of the press around it has been embarrassing too, he’s so eloquent and completely right – racing post, Nick luck podcast – for fear of him not talking to them. Sporting life podcast more honest.
Odd it’s the first time he’s mentioned losing his balance.
I’d give it back. The implication in the racing post is perhaps a bit of social engineering/trickery employed by asking for wrong amount..
Apparently he didn’t stop riding now. it’s the cameras fault it looks that way and it’s the cameras fault it’s a dead heat.
Speaking to the Racing Post, Shepherd said: “The photo-finish verdict looks questionable to me and a lot of people seem to agree, but I think any appeal has to go through the owners and David [Simcock]. If that is the case, I’ll need to discuss it with them.
He added: “Regardless of that, I feel I gave the horse absolutely every chance to win the race outright and I don’t think there was anything in my riding that detracted from that. I don’t understand how they can say I should have won outright.
Well they at least all have second jobs as politicians, or just comedians.
Plenty of Mullins in ep3. I thought ep1 was too cheerleader, 2 and 3 are better.
Slate lane too. Was supposed to be career over with tendon injury but not life.
I was at the Newmarket horse racing museum this year, 4 racehorses there but none I’d heard of or I doubt anyone would have who didn’t follow low grade racing.
Racing post stable tour had ferny but no nice guy.
Ferny Hollow
He’s making very slow progress but is making progress. If he comes back it’ll be towards the end of the season and we’re not going to rush a horse of his ability. We’ll let him take all the time he needs. It’s not ideal when you miss two seasons, but he has such ability we’re going to give him every chanceSomeone thinks he’s back but I’ve no idea how concrete it is –
‘He can go all the way’ – Five Willie Mullins horses to follow this season ⭐
I read it in the sun on Saturday but can’t find online, but yes they broke up and he has a new agent.
She’s said as much a few times on air. (Tues York latest) No detective skills required.
Interesting we are losing diversity from the beginnings.
Yes, she was on the Nick Luck podcast earlier this week talking about it and Nick also talked to a guy who is testing out screening horses beforehand so you know their normal gait and the computerised system could then pick up changes before a race on screening.

From the paywall article –
The thing is, there was a rumour. At this time of year there often is. Not for the first time this week a leading festival fancy had been a notable betting exchange drifter. For a while on Saturday morning Betfair customers could back Jonbon to win the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at around 10-1. Did that mean something was wrong with the horse? Was a defection announcement imminent? Was he heading instead to the Ballymore?
They’ve all asked me today and I’ve told them all the same – go and ask AP,” said a friendly but exasperated Henderson. “I’ve had ten people ask me since I came through the door. Does it surprise me? No. It’s the betting boys just playing games, isn’t it?Sorry to say, racing post live feed reported a freak accident falling in the brook in the middle of the course and breaking his back. Apparently not railed off so as not to attract horses.
