Raheena looked like a decent filly at Naas,

Beat the market by a few points with Greenview Paradise and she duly rewarded me by only beating a few home!

    + .75

    Two for tomorrow:

1 pt win.Fairy Mist 16:10 Brighton course specialist on a winning mark and has a couple of blow outs on the AW that were not without promise, 12/1

1 pt win. Free to Roam 21:00 Wolv Only win came over c&d and has been running well of late has a decent draw here.

.5 pt ew Greenview Paradise Beverly17:55. Speculative choice but didn’t get the rub of the green on seas debut and jock accepted it. Was 25/1 last night but seems to be a few quid knocking around for it. 16/1.

I was told Raheena is expected to win 16:30 Naas but below my min price.

Disappointing run from Pipers Note but Scoobie did it well at Wolverhampton for a small profit.

William Haggas has said he is a little concerned as to whether Rivet acts at Newmarket. The plan is to go to the Craven with him and if he doesn’t handle the track he will not run at the course again.

Apparently going to run in the new trial race over the straight mile at Newcastle Good Friday.

Hey Gord, havent been on here in a while but heading over to Lingfield Friday for the AW Championships.

Fancy anything for it ? Or is it a bit low brow ? Would love to see your man’s Addictive dream win the sprint but he may be up against it in a cracking little race.

Litigant my bet of the meeting . Showed a real turn of foot for a stayer ( previously with Andre Fabre ) when winning his qualifier.

Heading over Thursday, Anything good in the way of Casinos / Nightlife you could recommend in the south London area for 4 degenerate Irish Gamblers on thursday night?

Should be a great meeting ‘Circles’,I wouldn’t go past

    Hawkeyethenoo

in the sprint and I like

.Being a North Londoner myself (Arsenal) I have always loved venturing into Covent Garden,’Rules’ and ‘The Wolseley’ are 2 of my fav haunts along with the ‘Coalhole’.South London isn’t somewhere I’m familiar with.Have a great trip though.

Hey Gord, thanks for the post. Flew out thurs morn and had a few probs on the phone front so only saw it when I got back to Ireland. I backed grandisar in the first so may well have done the forecast if I had seen viewpoint earlier!

Stayed in the star in Lingfield which was a nice base and served some tasty food and was quite busy. Didn’t make it to London but probably drank a little too much on the Thursday . Luckily I had my studying done and horses picked so minimum brain activity was required! Had breakfast in the red rum cafe both days, friendly staff , customers and a great meal to start the day.

I suppose any memories of your day at the races will always be tempered By your punting but I thought lingfield did a great job. Success can create its own problems. The fact it was a sellout meant the queues for toilets and in the ladbrokes shops were quite long.

As seen on here there are some people who will never take to the AW and that’s fine . They don’t have to watch, bet on or attend but nobody could argue that a fine days racing wasn’t put on . I will definitely be there next year and I think some of the already spoken about tweaking will improve the day.

On the punting front , I had backed litigant at 11/4 as soon as the race was priced up. On the day after a slow start when place returns off Maggie pink and rivellino were the best I could do , things improved and ended up backing the last 3 winners on course. Also backed the Irish winner in muss and go nani go in the last.

Greetings Gordon, I stumbled on this thread on Wednesday night when googling a racing related subject. It was late at night and I said I would read a couple of pages. 20 pages later and 0230 in the morning I realised my allotted time for reviewing the days racing was gone but I just found it too addictive.

I suppose even you would have to agree that your style of writing falls in the "marmite " category! I just had to keep clicking on the next page to see if the latest ante post bet had come up or get the latest onslaught against the ginger whinger ! Anyway 3 days later sleep deprived and way behind with my racing reviews I have finally finished page 60.

Thanks for giving me a laugh over the last few nights and I have decided to follow you in on Flintshire. I have a log on another site but mainly concentrate on AW and low level flat turf (too many triers in group races!) so nice to have a bit of well informed info for the high quality stuff.

p.s. I am following Kiwi Bay over a cliff at Redcar tomorrow

Cheers Gordon. Remembered you mentioning Mince so had a nice bet on him which helped relieve my ever increasing Kiwi bay pain.
