Does anyone know if JP McManus has anything lined up for this? I fancy Gone To Lunch, but would like to know whether McCoy is available.

    Ta.

"A decision on Hurricane Fly’s participation at the Cheltenham Festival is likely to be made in the next few days.

Willie Mullins’ star novice hurdler had his form boosted by the victory of Go Native at Naas, who finished 10 lengths behind him over Christmas. However, he was denied a run in the rescheduled Deloitte Novice Hurdle last week after being found slightly lame.

"The horse will be seen by the vet and we’ll decide in the next three days whether he goes to Cheltenham or not,"said Mullins.

As well as his overall participation being in doubt, the actual race in which he will run in is still the subject of much conjecture, but the victory of Go Native saw Coral trim Hurricane Fly into 7-2 for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

Good be a few tight bottoms on here!!!!

    For me Franchoek.

Won a fair bit on him over his juvenile season, however I have been on the receiving end of a couple of eye-watering reversals since.

Just popped into my local indpenedent bookies, and one bloke has just had 1.5k e/w on Hold Em, half at 10’s, half at 9’s.

The bloke who runs the shop took the bet, and I spoke to him after the punter had left, and he said that last time that particular chap had that mount on was Old Benny in last year’s NH Chase.

He’s a tad worried to say the least.

Good start there Mr National, I followed you in on that one. However, i’m against Shining Gale and i’m siding with West End Rocker in this, receiving lumps of weight from you’re selection.

    Good luck.

I’ve had a little bit each way on Michael Flips at the 20’s with Paddy Power in the hope that McCoy gets the ride. Can’t see McManus having anything worth while in the race, so fingers crossed.

This is a great link re: Flyingbolt.

    http://eatmystack.co.uk/stanters/

With this paragraph my particular fav:

“Flyingbolt was hacking along with Paddy Woods on his back and a funny look in his eye. Upsides on Arkle, I was thinking to myself that I would never see a prouder horse than this. Then he turned his head and slowly looked us over. You could almost see the curl of the lip. This was the ‘Who are these peasants?’ look of his that I was to come to know so well and I suppose I should have been forewarned. Next thing I knew he’s taken a strong hold and was away. Not to be outdone, Arkle took an equally strong hold and got up alongside. And so these two young chasers who were then potentially the best in the world staged their own private race during what was supposed to be a normal session of morning schooling. They took the next four fences, neck and neck, flat out as though their lives depended on the outcome, while Paddy and I held on to them for dear life and waited for the fires to die down. Well, they cleared them all right, but it was a bit too close for comfort and Mr. Dreaper never allowed them to be schooled together again…………Certainly he was as good at seven as Arkle was at the same age…. If progress had been maintained, he would have been as good, if not better, than Arkle himself”.

    A good summary imo.

I fancy Whiteoak, and have had a little nibble for the Champion @ 100’s. However, if Punjabi is anywhere near race fit (which, as you posted, he is probably not 100%), then he should win.

I’ve had a dabble on the forecast, Punjabi to beat Whiteoak.
