seems an odd comparison, riding a ton of horse at 40 mph over 10 fences, or cooking egg and chips.
Glenn, park in staff car park, (silver ring), carry satchel, tell gate man your with barry dennis.
no problem
Glenn, going to Kempton to meet old friends standing on upturned beer crates,
name em.
Pat Keane couldn’t get £600 @ 7/4 in betting shop.
in future going to use betfair,
unless there’s 2 minutes to go, good luck.

punters have never had it so good, fine, and good luck to them,
facts, dont pick me up on exact years.
pre betfair, 2002/3 betting shop T/O 60% horse racing, GP 20%,
post betfair, 2009/10, betting shop T/O 30% horse racing GP 10%,
OK bookmakers had a monopoly and ripped punters off pre betfair, whatever your view.
the facts are the biggest contributor to the levy was the betting shops, both T/O and GP halved last 10 years.
my solution, 1% levy on T/O, plus legislation preventing off-shore firms receiving credit/debit card payments for gambling, USA,France and Scandinavian countries control internet betting in some form or another.
Matthew, having met you I feel it necessary to give you some grandfatherly advice, as welcome as your input is, you are wasting too much time posting to us old codgers on here.
get down the boozer now and pull a bi. find a nice young lady.
you know it makes sense.
several armchair jockeys seem to have a very poor opinion of R. Hills ability in the saddle.
personally, I haven’t noticed that he is that stand out bad,
anybody got a couple of stats to support their opinion.
ie. winners to rides compared to top 10 jockeys
prize money won yearly basis, compared to other top jocks.
not trying to question peoples opinion just curious if stats support it.
yes
Fist, your knowledge of FOBTS is way out;
the machines aren’t primed to different take outs, they all win 2.8% turnover.
its also possible for the first bet every day to be a big winner, the machine does not return instant cash or need it to be fed to pay winners.
on a similar point, playing poker or other casino games using CREDIT cards on the internet is equally addictive.
" the areas where the levy is failing are well known to this coalition government and we are confident of their resolve to repair the damage the sport has suffered for years"
levy £50M 2002 levy £50M 2012
what caused this damage?

Alan,
15% comm all bets other than scoop 6 20%
annual fees only £20 per shop.
many shops offer discount on large wagers.
ie, £1000 SCOOP 6 FOR £900.
Alan, catch 22, where would I get a placepot/tote bet without the betting shop/online/telephone.
£120 a day 8000 betting shops = £1M
not sure, but seem to remember paying a fee for accepting tote bets.
could it be that recent events have frightened off certain high profile layers.
