Colonel Harry back in trip looks a little less exposed than some and these 2m4f cheltenham handicaps rarely seem to have the same winner twice in a row (otherwise Gemirande would be the bet)

PP free bet so stuck a saver on Marble Sands at 14/1, as i really like the horse.

He was a jockey i (irrationally) avoided for years due to falling off The Listener at Down Royal (convinced myself it was a bad sit).

But he grew on me, seemed to be a very good horseman who lived for the racing. Will be a good addition to any racing team or broadcaster.

Wonder if Bryony gets the uk rides now, if theres many left?

Think Burdett road had conditions to suit today and race fitness. Happy to judge the hill by how easily he swept past him.

Would love to see Mullins take up the challenge and train lossiemouth for the champion hurdle. It didnt look like she gave her true running and still stayed on well.

Henderson has bemoaned the lack of races for his novice chases all season. Sir Gino is the most high profile of the lot and yet here he is making his debut over fences on the 27th December. Cant see how he gets the runs in him between now and March to be ready for an Arkle, although arguably, if he beats Ballyburn first time out you could say he’s ready now.

The Real Whacker looks a big price at 25’s so had a nibble yesterday. Never went at all last year, but hoping that he is a different horse this time around. I was at Wetherby when he won Charlie hall where he looked rejuvenated. Hoping its like 2015 again all over when the Charlie Hall sparked Cue Card back into life.
