I think Lochsong was amazing – progressed from a seller (?) to win 2 Prix de l’ Abbaye’s and numerous Group 1 sprints in Britain. She lead practically all her races and broke the opposition’s hearts after 3 furlongs.
Persian Punch was astoundingly tough – he just refused to be beaten. Equine verison of McCoy!
