NAP – Has to be Buveur Dair, think he’s improved this season and doesn’t have a great deal to beat.
LAY – Of the shorties I think Footpad is perhaps the most vulnerable, Petit Mouchoir, Saint Calvedos & Sceau Royal should make it one of the best and most competitive championship races of the week.
E/W – Summerville Boy’s form got a serious boost from Kalashnikov recently, and looks a more then fair bet at 16/1 should he run in The Supreme.
February 20, 2018 at 12:41 #1343179Nap – Apples Jade
Lay – Presenting Percy
E/W – Ordinary World (Champion Chase)February 20, 2018 at 16:42 #1343211Footpad is really splitting us up here. About as many naps as lays for the Mullins boy.
February 20, 2018 at 17:40 #1343224nap – Elegant Escape in The National Hunt Chase. It was a tough old day at Exeter last time, and that was just for the crowd. Full marks to him for that win, and if no I’ll effects I will go with him as he looked to have what is needed for this.
lay – if it is ok with Mike007, who seems to have brought it upon himself to dictate what we can and cannot select here, I will nominate Faugheen, though I hope he wins and proves me wrong.
ew – Total Recall seems a fair selection here, as I think he is a big price for that win at Newbury
February 20, 2018 at 18:39 #1343230Yep Footpad splitting the camp alright. For what it’s worth his sectionals are top of the novice chasers division, he has shown he can go in front or from in behind and his jumping has been really special, most notably at the last 2 fences. He has decent Chelt form and good ground form also.
I think it’s really a price and competitive thing. I’m definitely not a layer but at the current price he’s not a bet for me either. I think on the day he’ll be far more tempting. I’d be all over him if he were to get up around 2/1 territory
February 20, 2018 at 20:29 #1343243lol@Kris. Noone takes much notice of me.

E/W – Balkos Des FlosFebruary 27, 2018 at 00:30 #1344155On the same page of the Racing Post Website we get:-
Romain De Senam will be one of our best chances (Paul Nicholls)
Wonderful Charm my best chance of festival success (err? Paul Nicholls)
How many Paul Nicholls’ does it take to pick a Nap?

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
February 27, 2018 at 07:51 #1344157Thought Petit Mouchoir was significantly gaining on Footpad near the line, despite some very ponderous jumps early on, so really can’t split them. But was v impressed by St calvados who will probably carry my money on the day, depending on price of course
February 27, 2018 at 07:53 #1344158Which with my luck means Footpad will win; does he remind anyone else of Remittance Man?
February 27, 2018 at 09:21 #1344166I think he burst away from PM after the last and then Townend just let him float for the last few yards while Davy got to work on PM to try and close
