Quevega is likely to go for three in a row in the Mares Race according to WPM.

Any chance he’d be tempted to go for a famous double with her? I think she’s the only horse in training capable of shaking up Big Bucks over timber.

I’d personally like to see Restless Harry be aimed for this race, i think he is a very nice horse indeed.

Two Championship races at the one Festival was one race to many for Flyingbolt and I doubt if even Quevega’s biggest fan would compare her to him.
Something tells me SharkEnergy (earlier post) will get his wish, if Paul Nicholls wants to win another Gold Cup neither of his 11 year olds will do it and Big Bucks apart, who has he got.
I’d like to see For Bill come over for The World Hurdle or The Mares but his octegenarian owner is quoted as having no interest in Cheltenham

Speaking as someone who saw Peddlers Cross win his point at Liscarroll, I think he should be going chasing. I don’t think he’ll be quick enough for the Champion Hurdle and the staying hurdle division has always been a something of a lesser division as far as I’m concerned – not quick enough for the Champion Hurdle, not a good enough jumper for the Gold Cup.

I think he’ll make a fabulous chaser and would be my early fancy for the Arkle if he ended up going down that route. I could see him being a serious Gold Cup contender sometime in the future.

CS, For Bill is going chasing as far as I’m aware.

Have to agree 100% with your assessment of Peddlers Cross and as For Bill has won two points, I can’t imagine they’ll be many better novice chasers than these two….if any

A horse who many may not have considered for this race is Rite Of Passage. He was reportedly flat to the mat from pillar to post in the Neptune last year, so the extra few furlongs would suit, and if he runs he might give Big Bucks most to do.

Dermot Weld has said that Rite of Passage will not be campaigned over hurdles this season.

Speaking through my pocket this is my favourite race at the festival.

I have Big Bucks in umpteen multiple bets but for the value I like Zaynar in the without Big Bucks market.

I’m convinced that we have have yet to see the best of this horse, he looked awsome in his first two runs last season and the stable are quite bullish about his chances.

Does anyone know where the entries are for this?

Although Big Bucks should win comfortably, I think that GRAND CRUS could be a tasty EW price @ 20/1

Bucks (and Quevega) simply cant be beaten can they? I’d treble them with Imperial Commander, Cue Card or Ghizao for a spot of value. Bucks & Quevega, both out and out bankers for me. i really can’t see what will beat them in March. Big double, small trebles.

Solwhit over 3 miles would interest me. Especially since decs arent made until the thursday. so they can wait and see how hurricane goes and make the form up from their.

Big Bucks could have a lot more to beat this year.
