What will happen to trainers if this years winter becomes the norm. Apparently Mullins as a large number of horses that he as not run yet and some only once or twice and it looks like he will have a small squad for Cheltenham compared to previous years.
With global warming I would have thought that it will be one the norm.
It seems the UK trainers are more adaptable at present and I think they will win more races this year because of it.
It’s funny to think that presenting Percy as not run on account of the quicker ground but I bet he turns up no matter what it is next week.March 5, 2019 at 12:23 #1399802I think most climate experts believe that global warming will not only increase temperatures but also increase precipitation especially during the winter months. Warmer air usually means wetter weather. The recent very warm, dry spell in Britain was unprecedented not only in terms of temperature and lack of rain but also in the length of the spell.
PP will obviously turn up. But very few know how worried Pat Kelly is in not getting a run in to him over fences this season. But I expect he will be praying for rain leading up to the festival.
