Did not see the match live, just saw the highlights. Looks like it came down to a player with much more experience to draw on playing the big points better.
Agree with TTC. Shapovalov’s backhand is a thing of beauty. A future Slam winner for sure. Just hope he does not have nightmares about that miss at 5-4, 30-30!
I did think of backing him after the Murray match and would have done if he had been in the other half of the draw to Djokovic. He would have made the final.
This Italian who is playing Djokovic in the final looks a possible contender to me.
Djokovic is a robot and is insanely hard to beat but I have a feeling this guy will give him a game and may even beat him.🇮🇹 double on Sunday?

Berrettinni did well to win the first set in the mens final from 5-2 down. Been all one-way traffic since then though and 4-0 to Djokovic in the second set and only one winner from here. The mighty Djokovic
I disagree. This could be a 5 setter. No surprises if it isn’t because Djokovic is a robot and the greatest of all time but the Italian dream double remains perfectly on I feel.
