    So William Hill had a new competition on Saturday which costs £2 to enter, there has been mass advertising from two tabloids, Daily Mirror and Daily Record, if you went to a William Hill bookies you would have obviously noticed this, the competition closely follows a Football Fantasy type competition where you choose 1 top horse and 9 others from the list.

    If any of you seen the list that was published on Saturday for this season you would have seen 3 horses that were killed in action last season and no sadly longer with us;

    An Cathoir Mor
    Citizen Vic
    Schindler’s Hunt.

    Talk about poor research.

    Well spotted Red. On another point related to the Daily Mirror have you noticed this chap who is promoting his book and calls himself the Professor of Punting ?
    From what I have read he only produces statistics and the like telling you where you are going wrong. If he is the professor,then I feel obliged to call myself the Oracle after 50 odd years of learning the art of studying form and all its vagaries.It is only a hobby but the trick is finding a winning formula,playing the percentages,and coming through unscathed. I despair of the many punters who just can’t enjoy their hobby because they need to win all the time. Too serious by far and virtually impossible. Professor of punting? I’d much rather have Prince Monolulu…much more fun !
