The 14:20 at Aintree (friday) is a 2m4f handicap hurdle. A really strong field in my opinion.

I like Buddy One here. He could have won the Martin Pipe, but he went just too early and faded in the last yards. He has been raised 4 pounds for that, but now the jockey gets his allowance back, which basically means he running of a lower weight.

    Buddy One 10/1

Agree DBR, very strong race, and that tough that I nearly sat it out.

I’ll have a sentimental bet on Benson, but he’s hard to recommend on last run.

I went with Tritonic in the end. Bet him in The Morebattle, and he ran a strange race. Think conditions here will suit, and he’s worth another go. I liked Buddy One as well, and another who appealed is The Bosses Oscar

**Ended up adding Off Your Rocco

    Off Your Rocco 28’s
    Tritonic 25’s EW 7pls

I think Captain Conby may be a little better than he showed at Cheltenham and is worth another chance.

These are the races that get my juices flowing. I’ve gone with Nells Son. Travelled well at Cheltenham but didn’t stay in the Coral Cup. Dropped 2lbs for that and those ahead of him have all gone up in the weights, bar Captain Conby who is a danger. Trip, ground and track should suit and 20s was way too big.

I’ve thrown a dart at Buddy One ew 5 places. Rider couldn’t claim his 7lbs at Cheltenham but can here which might help.

“I’ve thrown a dart at Buddy One”

And the Animal Rights lot think the Grand National is inhumane.

    WD winners.
Not normally critical of Cobden, but he seemed to leave that run too late.

The drift on Camprond certainly spoke a thousand words having watched that run
