Decided to give White Rhino another chance. I think it’s odds on he gets in this time.
He was very disappointing at Uttoxeter, and it’s hard to know what went wrong. He had no issue with Huntingdon so hard to believe it was the sharp track. Hopefully, he can resume his progress. The 20/1 (with a possible boost) seemed like a fair price to explore that possibility.
April 9, 2024 at 23:57 #1689469I took West To The Bridge for the Friday Hurdle, more so for the price than anything else, but I’d be favouring Johnnywho or Kyntara if they went.
That’s the pair I like at the head of the market, but of the outsiders, Chantry House, and particularly Floueur make EW appeal, but I’ll hold off for enhanced EW terms on the day
April 11, 2024 at 20:04 #1689803White Rhino not declared. It’s always more annoying when a horse is ‘jocked up’ and then doesn’t go. What’s the reason other than helping out the bookmakers? This comes on top of the puzzling run last time.
April 11, 2024 at 21:38 #1689831I usually avoid backing anything coming from a 0-125 last time but HONOR GREY piqued my interest enough for a fun play. It was a nice win after 482 days off after a victory over c+d and the 2nd scooted up next time in a 0-140.
16/1April 12, 2024 at 01:12 #1689861Black bamboo for me.
Backed him at Cheltenham and it was a combination of a poor ride and a difficult position throughout that cooked his goose.
Did stay on well and definitely going to improve for the extra distance.
April 12, 2024 at 07:54 #1689867West Balboa
Was hoping for a lot bigger price when the entries came out. After a couple of poor runs returned from a break at Kempton where she was never given a chance really, without a doubt she will of gone into a few notebooks that day.
The stewards must of been having a game of poker or something because for me it was a shocking watch, probably the worst i have seen for years. She was tailed off before the last and joined the winner after the line, maybe the jockey thought they had half a mile still to run or something. It would of been far better to pull her up two out and everyone would of got 20/1 instead.
April 12, 2024 at 09:04 #1689879Yep, West Balboa looks like a plot job but like botchy, I was really hoping for a better price. I’m on at 6s.
Gwennie May Boy has also come in for support and looks a different horse since being switched from Jonjo. Up 13lb for his last 2 wins but could still be improving.
April 12, 2024 at 19:45 #1690042Torn between Johnnywho and Chantry House for the win. Totally missed the 33’s on Chantry, and he’s still getting backed. I’ll just wait till the morning now.
Definitely betting Floueur EW, and he’s a big price. Don’t see why he can’t make a good go at making the frame.
Floueur 50’s EW7Pls
April 12, 2024 at 22:15 #1690070I’m going with Bold Endeavour and Red Risk here. I haven’t bet them yet though, as they are both drifting at this time
April 13, 2024 at 10:04 #1690150J’ai Froid is have a nice season despite his age. Running against good opposition like Kyntara and Cuthbert Dibble. He might surprise at a big price.
J’ai Froid 33/1 EW
April 13, 2024 at 11:20 #1690175Black Bamboo will come up trumps sooner or later. Today hopefully.
The things I want most in life are the things that I can't win.
April 13, 2024 at 11:43 #1690185I’m not a massive fan of the yard, but their Soringwell Bay was running a big race yesterday. In that I’ve taken 10-1 Johnnywho
April 13, 2024 at 12:53 #1690213West Balboa for me.
April 13, 2024 at 13:16 #1690218Fine Margin 16s win only
A small wager on Floueur each way 66s (1st 6)
Best of luck to all
April 13, 2024 at 13:28 #1690224Wd GM23 if you were on
April 13, 2024 at 14:27 #1690240Thanks Mike, Yep, I was on.
Skeltons have done nothing but win for me this past 4 weeks.
You have to wonder what Jonjo was up to with this horse as he looks a totally different class now.
