Because throughout that unpleasant episode, during which social media and the mainstream media obsessed about the identity of one of its one, AFAIK I never even saw a single posting on the subject here, still less anything that would have compromised the legal integrity of this fabulous website and forum .
“You’ve all done very well!”
As “young” Mr Grace might have said.
I’m now off to consume a packet of Waitrose mini choc chip cookies to celebrate.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"July 12, 2023 at 19:29 #1655124I’ve no interest gossip at the best of times. Even less so when said gossip could (and potentially has) land people in serious legal trouble.
The fact is this dragged on for days without anyone producing a shred of evidence so what did we have to comment on? Everybody involved was anonymous.
Two separate Police forces have apparently seen no evidence of criminality either. This does seem to go against some initial reports that were made. This may have consequences beyond the individual at the centre of it.
My two pennies, probably not much more to say. As you were.
July 12, 2023 at 22:34 #1655130Well said, sir, IMO.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"July 13, 2023 at 01:59 #1655140The Sun loves this kind of thing, and kept it front page news
for days. Then you young man pipes up that his parents are
talking a load of tosh, and guess what? the Sun has another
front pager from the opposite side. Two bites at the cherry
for what seems to be nothing to do with anyone, not that
the Sun gives a hoot, it sells papers, which is why I don’t
buy them.Chezza and Richard both spot on.
July 13, 2023 at 05:48 #1655147Rupert Murdoch doing two of his favourite things: savaging the BBC and keeping the Tories’ failures off the front page.
Nothing to see here; move along.
July 13, 2023 at 08:05 #1655150I’m not brave enough to use a semicolon but I have no doubt Gladders, as a famous pedant (otherwise known as ‘being correct’), has used it correctly which I can only applaud.
July 13, 2023 at 10:00 #1655155Not sure the Murdoch ref is correct, this time.
SKS was at one of Murdoch’s social ‘gatherings’ last week; invite only as well

July 13, 2023 at 13:41 #1655178Uncle Rupe knows which way the wind is blowing, his obedient doggies will be told to vote Labour next year.
Don’t think anyone comes out of this saga very well to be honest, The Sun looks even worse than it already did, BBC coverage has been appalling and the rest of the papers and broadcasters haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory either.
As for the man himself, no comment. No case to answer according to two police forces and what he does in own time is his business. Hope he recovers soon.
July 13, 2023 at 16:10 #1655196Well said all!
The BBC seems to have lost the plot, why on earth did they think the whole sorry business warranted a ‘live stream’ on the BBC news page. The world’s gone mad.July 13, 2023 at 17:28 #1655205July 13, 2023 at 18:51 #1655211All its done is keep Boris and his failure to hand over his mobile off the front of the papers , a much more disgusting subject , he can’t remember his pin …… fair to say there is is some pretty horrific stuff on it
July 13, 2023 at 18:53 #1655212Richard it’s fair to say there is no depths the sun won’t stoop to to flog a paper
July 13, 2023 at 19:10 #1655215Well, we hadn’t mentioned it until…
July 13, 2023 at 20:13 #1655218….the identity had been revealed and it no longer was a legally-dodgy topic, including for any platform where speculation was aired.
Lots of comment in response I agree with here.
