Seems to be taking to his new career fine, though still let’s everyone know when he’s had enough.

    Strange animal that Mad Moose.

The RP features Racing Rogues all week, with the spotlight on Moonax tomorrow. Off the top of my head I’ll nominate Knockroe, Amrullah, Derring Rose and Ubedizzy for the subsequent four days.

On second thoughts I’ll take out Ubedizzy (because he was possessed by the Devil and might not count as a horse) and put in Marinsky instead.

What happened to Ubedizzy after he finished racing Seasider?

    Found this
“…..and was sold for just 8,000 guineas to race in Sweden, where he had to wear a muzzle when he raced. He also became a champion sprinter while he was in Sweden”

More on Ubedizzy from the Betfair forum with a byeline from a director of Weatherbys.

He was sold in the 1979 Doncaster March sales for 5,000gns to S Opstromm and sent to Sweden to be trained by C von Arnold. During the rest of that year he had six runs, resulting in two wins and four places. He also ran in Germany, finishing third in the Group 3 Goldene Peitsche at Baden-Baden, and twice in France, finishing unplaced. As a result of all this he ended the season as the top-rated sprinter in Sweden.

In 1980, he was trained by R Wuscha, having two unplaced runs, plus three in France, earning a place.

In 1981, he seems to have finished his career by having two more runs in Sweden, resulting in one place.

Prior to his Swedish adventure the horse ran twice in Ireland without killing anybody, which is not to say that he didn’t attempt violence of one kind or another.

According to Andy Crook, Ubedizzy’s groom and sometime jockey, the story goes that he had some fingers of someone in the yard in Sweden and that he was put down.
