Take the money and run or let it roll?
March 17, 2021 at 18:20 #1530434Got to take the money. Unless he is absolutely loaded and won’t miss a quarter of a million quid!
BUY THE SUN
March 17, 2021 at 18:25 #1530435I’d take the money as well, quit whilst I’m winning.
It would be just my luck the 4/9 jolly falls
March 17, 2021 at 18:29 #1530436I’d never normally cash out as it’s such rank bad value (as this example shows). However, this is an antepost bet, so if the horse wakes up with a cough tomorrow…

March 17, 2021 at 18:50 #1530442He,s held his nerve so far , I don’t see Envoi getting beat , it’s a hell of a acca mind
March 17, 2021 at 19:24 #1530454Cash out. I reckon I could retire on £275K and live fairly comfortably. That’s the main aim for me now in life
March 17, 2021 at 19:45 #1530464I’d cash out right away – I am guessing if the horse had a setback of any kind and came out he’d lose the bet so why take the risk for that sort of money.
That aside, I read on Simon Nott’s twitter that one of their clients had £350k on Bob Olinger. Now that IS a bet and a half. To back and to lay.

March 17, 2021 at 20:14 #1530472Take the money all day long. He’s got £275k at about 10/11 on a 4/9 shot that he took 9/2 on.
I could live with taking £275k and missing out on the rest far better than letting it ride and losing.
My other feeling is that if the whole bet was only ever for a max of £275k (would only need one price to be a point or two lower somewhere to do that), he’d still have placed it. You’d hardly look at £275k max returns and say ‘stuff it, I want half a million’.
March 17, 2021 at 20:37 #1530488Right now he is standing at £92,950 and the horse is 1/2 instead of the 9/2 he took. I think £ 275,000 is a great payout…..
March 17, 2021 at 20:42 #1530491Whatever he does he won’t have a sportsbook account by Monday
He apparently told Barry Orr he wouldn’t be able to sleep, he should have been haggling for 300kI hate it when someone does a football acca with all the games on a Saturday and one on a Sunday then when they all win on the Saturday ask if they should cash out
Why put the team in the acca to start with..
I’d cash out

March 17, 2021 at 20:57 #1530500Cash out, all day long. Envoi Allen should win but the move to a new trainer just throws a small element of doubt into the mix.
March 17, 2021 at 21:05 #1530503Yep, cash out!
March 18, 2021 at 09:54 #1530561“He’s got about 10/11 on a 4/9 shot”
Which is exactly why I would let it run.
Seems like I’m the only one, though!
March 18, 2021 at 10:11 #1530563Given that cash-out terms are always mathematically favourable to the bookmaker, there is absolutely no point in doing accumulators at such lengthy aggregate odds unless you are prepared to let them ride.
Far better to leave out the last leg in the original bet if, by then, you have worked out you would already be into life-changing territory.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 18, 2021 at 10:36 #1530570He’s taken the money, 300k if Envoi wins, 250k if it doesn’t.
Might have been better laying it but there’s always the chance the horse could be lame before the race.March 18, 2021 at 10:44 #1530572I can never understand people doing this sort of bet in the first place to be honest but good luck to him.
