Just a word of caution -Sizing Europe was a late withdrawal from that race last year.
You mean the most over hyped crock in many a long year?
Who hyped him -not the people who were following him from day 1 and had nice touches on him when he won at Newbury,Cheltenham & Leopardstown.A few journalists jumped on the bandwagon after the A.I.G. but thats only to be expected.
December 23, 2008 at 17:45 #198825There seems to be a lot of short-priced good things (Kauto Star, Punjabi Sizing Europe, Nepture Collanges) but you know a few of them are likely to flop.
I’m backing Sizing Europe – it’s daft to overlook that there are doubts about Kauto Star (at a price where there shouldn’t be doubts) and I think Punjabi’s a bit overrated.
December 23, 2008 at 17:51 #198827Patsy Finnegan looks rid of the virus now he has moved stables and should swiss up at Toaster.
December 23, 2008 at 18:23 #198830At Sedgefield look for Shulmin in the staying chase at 2.20. She is back to her favourite course and distance and faces a motley crew of lowly stayers here.
December 24, 2008 at 04:13 #198904I’ve changed my mind! Tatenan is my banker. Has the best form and recieves 11lb from everything else. I wasn’t impressed by Made In Taipan last time, and lot of the field need 2m4f.
December 24, 2008 at 04:28 #198906Mister McGoldrick back at his beloved Wetherby each-way in the Rowland Meyrick Hcp Ch on St Stephen’s Day if the 8 declared stand their ground.
December 24, 2008 at 04:39 #198911Victory Gunner to win for the fourth Boxing Day in a row and complete a treble of Lincolnshire Nationals. The forecast 4/1 would do nicely.
December 24, 2008 at 04:54 #198916I didn’t respond because I won’t know until after the festive season – but so far it’s been Little Shilling. I’m positive my placepots won’t be bothering the tote’s computer system.
December 24, 2008 at 05:16 #198922The BBC will broadcast The Queen’s Speech at 3.00pm on Christmas Day.

December 24, 2008 at 05:18 #198923I may have to whack some reddies on Flipper, he is a great jumper. I need to see what he’s up against, though!
Well, 10 are currently entered for the race: Twist Magic, Ashley Brook, Briareus, Natal, Pablo Du Charmil, Hoo La Baloo, Petit Robin, Takeroc and Lord Henry are possible opponents for Flipper, but Briareus is going for the KG so doubt he’ll run. I thought it was a level weights race, but it isn’t, and Flipper gets weight from just about everything as he’s not won a Pattern chase in the UK.
There are some very good horses in the race, but it’s a Grade 2 worth £90,000, so we were expecting decent opposition anyway. We’re hoping Jamie will ride, but his dad has got Verasi in the Welsh National, maybe Philip Hide will be on that.
We’ve got 2 other entries at Kempton – Peredur in the novice chase and Der Spieler in the novice hurdle, but I’ve not heard anything concrete about those two.
Darren – AngloGerman

Ok Rob. People round here have got you down as a bit of a judge, so you’ll have a rotten pm to pay

Seconded. Without reservation, in fact! He’s been an absolute credit to Craig Roberts these last few years.

December 25, 2008 at 04:15 #199109A thousand apologies to Victory Gunner, he’s bidding for a Lincolnshire National 4-timer and has won in Christmas week for the past 5 years!
December 25, 2008 at 05:57 #199129Though Doumen’s got a decent one in the last at Kempton, I like the look of Albinus. It looks well weighted, particularly with 5lbs off.

Tidal Bay – by a country mile.
Handicapped mainly on his 2m form, if he can’t give a stone to State Of Play over this distance, I’ll walk naked to Wetherby.
December 25, 2008 at 18:31 #199151I`ll take PRESSGANG in the 3.15 at Kempton, he was by far and away the best horse in his last race despite finishing 2nd (Personally i blame Timmy Murphy for the defeat as he confused the horse at the 4th last and he nearly ended on the floor),ìf i believe that then i must believe he`s on a nice mark at 125! going right handed on decent ground is what the doc ordered, nothing progressive as him in the race.
I also like Breedsbreeze in the 2nd, im sure this race will be run to suit and i would fancy him to get the better on The Market man (Henderson suggested he wouldn`t raxe until Feb!) and im not convinced Massinis maguire is has good as he looked on his chase debut, Millenium Royal from the Douman yarddoesn`t do much for me especially with useless Pieux taking the ride, the guy used to be half decent but he`s riding like a big girls blouse at the moment, he looks like he`s had one fall too many!!
December 25, 2008 at 23:04 #199156Haroldini if he runs at Southwell on Saturday
