The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (my fav album 8) ) – Genesis.

I also have the David Gray album Life In Slow Motion. Not in the same league as his brilliant White Ladder album, but still listenable nevertheless.

    I’m in a bad mood.

My dear loyal friend Podsworth, my shiny black iPod and so often the source of my sanity, has had a small battery-related death.

And my mum is in the same room watching Gary Rhodes trying to poison himself and the rest of the world with epically salted recipes – apparently a ‘pinch’ is actually about five ounces minimum, depending on how much you don’t want to live to see the next day.

Why can nobody cook these days?

Sigh. Help. I need some music!

Oh dear poor Podsworth – is it fatal? I’d be lost and bereft without my Podspal – I had to take it back for repair/replacement when I first got it and it was away from home for 3 days

    Get well soon Podsworth :)

It’s been a softie-pop week for me so far, c/o the latest (sixth) album by Trembling Blue Stars, the band formed out of the ashes of Sarah Records archetypes (and my fave band ever) The Field Mice.

Herewith a link to the current single – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAQQzxHrntI. Unless you’re a fan of jangly guitars and singers who sound like a neutered Neil Tenant, there is, as Edward and Tubbs Tattsyrup would say, “nothing for you here”. For the rest of us, though, this is as good as pop gets.

Thanks Kingston – I too had to get my first iPod replaced days after getting it, but he was replaced and I like to think spiritually, it’s the same player just in a more functional body. He’s on the road to recovery but doesn’t get charged nearly as often as he should owing to my breaking his house (also known as an iStation to normal people.) I would charge him via the car adapter but having over 800 songs in reach whilst driving will probably either shorten my life expectancy or raise my insurance costs dramatically. Possibly both.
